Dryads, or forest nymphs, are the land counterpart of of naiads. They are humanoid creatures that are bound to the forest by a tree. It is their sole duty to protect this tree, if a dryad's tree dies, she will become mortal with a destiny to be purely evil. Dryads live virtually forever and love all, so this fate is a terrible one. They can live as long as their tree lives. If a dryad's tree dies of old age, the dryad will also die of old age. Dryads, like naiads, don't have a male counterpart; which makes their reproduction an anomaly. Dryads are very beautiful and can normally be found in their forest wearing thin clothes (often dresses) made of natural objects like leaves, twigs, vines and more. Sometimes they wear nothing at all, for they're often not affected by ambient temperatures.
