Goblins

Goblins are a sapient, cave dwelling species. Goblins found living underground are often raised to be afraid and hateful of the sun and sky. However, it's clearly a superstitious fear that is easily overcome just like any other. Goblins observed living on the surface have no such fears. Goblin kingdoms are vast, beautiful places that the goblins dig out deep underground. They can't beat a dwarven kingdom in beauty or wealth, but goblin kingdoms are still a sight to see. While both factions could make beautiful peace, goblins and dwarves are rarely at peace with each other. They've been fighting for hundreds of years, and will likely be fighting for hundreds more. They just can't seem to hold a peace treaty. The only known recording of goblins and dwarves working together is when they both happened to tunnel into the same cave giants' cavern. They had to join forces and fight together to save their respective cities from the giants, who were vying to capture or kill all the goblins and dwarves as food or slaves. After the giant community was defeated, however, another war soon broke out over land rights and splitting the newfound wealth. Average goblin height is about four feet tall. They have long, pointed ears, and their skin is normally grey-blue, green, or black. Goblin skin is thick, and fire resistant. Apart from the skin and size differences, their biological aspects are very similar to humans. They eat, breed, breath, and function the same way humans do. A goblin often only lives to be around 175 years old. Goblins never wore many clothes. It's just the norm in their cities. Loincloths to cover genitalia is all their culture ever really bothered with. They will wear armor in battle, however, and often get into the habit of wearing more clothes wen living among other races. When a goblin dies, it is tradition that his or her body be set adrift in lava lakes to slowly burn away.
