Lucy's POV

"Oi, can I get a-another beer o-out here?" I drunkenly slurred.

"Lucy, don't you think that you had too many drinks yet? Let's take a break from the beer and have some water." Mirajane said with concern laced in her voice.

"B-But I want m-more!" I whined while hiccuping.

I tried my best to do a puppy dog face in my drunken state. I knew that Mirajane could never restrain herself from depriving me of what I wanted when I had my puppy face game on.

Mirajane sighed in defeat, finally gave into me

"Fine." I smirked victoriously thinking I won Mirajane over, only for my smirk to drop later as soon as Mirajane finished her sentence, "but only one glass of beer, then you're gonna go home and sleep." She said.

I agreed reluctantly knowing I was never going to get Mirajane to change her mind. At least I got one last glass of beer to enjoy.

Ten minutes had passed and Mirajane abandoned her job to help carry me home.

"Y-ya k-know you can leave me alone and go b-back to y-your job n-now." I said drunkenly, trying to keep my balance, "plus, I'm a-almost h-h-home." I finished trying to convince her.

"No way. You're just gonna try to get more beer from a bar or something." Mirajane argued back.

I pouted at what Mirajane said.

"D-do you really think that bad of me? I t-thought you t-trusted me! A-aren't we b-best f-friends? W-why d-don't you believe m-me!" I ranted with fake tears in my eyes and flushed cheeks.

Mirajane became flustered as tried to think of away to calm me down.

"Umm... no way.... I didn't mean it like t-that... What I m-mean is t-that... I ummm... I trust you a lot Lucy. It's just that you're drunk a-and-" she said while waving her hands around frantically, trailing off. I giggled.

"I was j-just joking Mira-chan, calm down." I said laughing while waving her off. Mirajane sighed.

"But are you sure you're gonna get home safely by yourself?" Mira asked worriedly.

"C-come on. I'm not that d-drunk. I c-can take care of m-myself." I lied trying to sound sober.

Mirajane looked at me with consideration swimming through her large blue eyes.

"Well if you're alright by yourself, then you should be fine. Lisanna and Elfman will be worried if I take any longer to get back to the guild." I smiled drunkenly but happily at her statement.

"YAY! Well then, I'll take my leave now." I said.

I waved goodbye to Mira. After she was out of my sight, I carelessly tried to jump onto the sidewalk that i usually balance myself on everyday.

I picked up my pace.

"Lucy-chan, be careful!" A random stranger shouted.

It startled me and I lost my balance. I closed my eyes expecting to feel the cold, chilly water encase my body, but I didn't. Instead i felt a hand wrapped around my wrist pulling me into their arms.
