Dinner

Gray's POV

'So I'm really going to be a father, but if Natsu is the father to my child, what will they think of me when they find out? That I am a sacredy cat? But I don't want to ruin Natsu's and Lucy's relationship, I'll just look selfish to the guild!' I thought.

'But they are your children not Natsu's.' Another voice argued in my head.

'Should I really go for it? Should I take the risk?' I wondered.

'Well if they're my children, might as well die trying.' I thought.

I looked at Lucy and Natsu laughing. We were going back to the guild. He really had no idea. I don't want to hurt Natsu but I gotta take back what is mine.

Erza's POV (Back at the Guild)

I watched silently as Gray talked to Lucy.

'Why doesn't she smile like that when talking to Natsu?'

Everyone knew Lucy liked Gray but wasn't she at least starting to like Natsu after all the time she spent with him?

'But why would she ask Gray to come along to the ultrasound and why did Gray say yes? I understand Lucy preferred Gray more than Natsu but she didn't have to ask him to go with us.'

Things started to connect.

'Was Gray ever in the guild that night?! No, I never saw him there! I think he went to see Lyon and when he usually walks back home, he has to pass Lucy's house! Could it be, he had bumped into Lucy before Natsu and he took her home and...' Erza's head started to spin.

'Who else knew about this? Did Gray know he was the father? Did Natsu know?' The question really was about if Natsu was going to be alright.

I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

Gray's POV

"Lucy, can we have dinner together?" I scratched my cheek nervously, hoping not to be rejected.

"Wha-" She said, slightly startled by my question.

"Dinner." I said louder.

"Oh, d-dinner? Sure w-why not?" She  replied, blushing lightly.

"Let's go." I said slightly enthusiastically, taking her warm, petite hand in my larger cold one. We walked to a park and sat down on a bench.

"So, how are you and Natsu doing?" I asked her.

"We're fine I guess." She replied with uncertainty lingering in her melodic voice.

"Aren't you guys dating?" I asked, slightly confused.

"Not exactly. I mean he'll make a good father and husband but I can't really seem to return his feelings although I try." She sighed heavily, "and I kinda owe Lisanna a favor."

'Natsu didn't make a move yet? What's he waiting for?' I thought.

"What kind of favor?" I asked.

"I have to help her make Natsu fall for her." she said.

"But don't you feel anything for Natsu at all?" I continued.

"A l-little, wait. Why are you even asking me this?" Lucy stared at me hard.

I gulped under her unwavering gaze.
