3rd Person POV

Gray arrived at Lucy's doorstep and saw the door wide open. He stared in confusion.

Was Lucy not home and left it open by accident? Or worse, did someone break in?

He cautiously stepped inside, sure to make no sound and that's when he saw it. Blood.

He looked at the trail and followed it, only to discover it had ended in the living room which could only mean one thing. The trail led to someone leaving the house with an injury of some sort. He started to panic.

What if Lucy had gotten hurt and went out in search of help or what if someone had injured her and ran away from the scene?

He tried to calm down and look for clues. He noticed there was another set of blood trail that didn't connect to the other. He inspected it closely but was interrupted when he heard cabinets being closed from upstairs. Upstairs was the location of Lucy's bedroom and bathroom.

Gray quietly sneaked his way up the stairs and saw the bathroom door ajar, light beaming out from it. He slowly pushed it open to see a Lucy digging through the bathroom cabinet with one arm.

"Oh...it's just you." Gray wiped his imaginary sweat away from his forehead. Strangely, he was nervous on who'd he find in there.

"ARGHH!" A scream erupted from Lucy's windpipe, body flinging backwards with rapid speed. As the adrenaline from being scared calmed down, she whimpered at the sudden spike of pain in her arm.

"Ahh...sorry I scared you." Gray awkwardly rubbed his neck. He noticed a bandage on her cheek, the way her eyes avoided him and the awkward stance. Blood trails, bandage, an awkward stance and nervous glances? She was definitely hiding something and he was going to find out.

"Do you know there's blood all over your house?" He stepped forward to seem more intimidating, using the height difference as an advantage. Gray slyly smiled as he watched the blonde stumble backwards.

"B-Blood? What blood?"

He rolled his eyes at her obvious attempt to lie.

"Lucy, don't lie to me." He said as he shot her a serious look.

Said woman sighed and removed her arm from behind her back. Gray's black eyes seemed to darken as he flung himself towards the blonde.

"Who did this to you?" Gray snarled angrily as he stared at the bloody arm in front of him.

"Natsu," She admitted but quickly added, "It was an accident though. He really didn't mean to-"

"That bastard..." He gritted his teeth in anger. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere else?"

"I'm fine, just a gash on my cheek." Lucy said as Gray inspected the shard.

"It's in real deep. Want me to pull it out for you?" Lucy denied his help. She didn't really trust Gray with medical related stuff.

"Porlyusica's on her way." She assured him.

"How did you end up like this if Natsu was with you?" He looked curiously at her before realizing something. "Wait, why isn't he here with you right now? Especially when you're hurt like this? Did that bastard leave you alone?"

"No, I made him leave." Lucy hung her head sadly.

"He got mad because of my stubbornness of not wanting to admit that we were dating. He threw a vase out of blind anger and the shards came flying at me and I ended up like this." Lucy quickly said before Gray could've asked her.
