Chapter Ten- Morphers

"I think you need to go to this one place so you can be more used to magic.." Brandon said thoughtfully.

"Okay.. Where is th--"

Brandon didn't hear what I said. He just grabbed my hand and ran. I didn't get why we were running, but I guess it was important. Maybe he was taking me to the place he was talking about. Brandon looked back once and stopped so suddenly that I almost fell forward. I was puzzled about why he stopped unexpectedly.

"Why were we running?" I asked.

"There was a morpher following us." Brandon said, breathing deeply.

"A.. Morpher?"

"Yeah, it's one of the Shadow Lord's spies.."

"I didn't see anything following us.."

"Well they're not called 'morphers' for nothing! They can change chapes so they can change into a fly or a human. You have to be careful.."

"But how come you saw the morpher and I didn't?"

"You're just a beginner. Morphers give off a kind of redish light.. You need to practice to see if it's really a morpher or not.."

"Okay, but where's the place you wanted to take me?"

"Follow me."

Brandon took so many twists and turns that I got confused. In the end, we were in front of a weird rectangular figure with blue glowing things in the large rectangle. It was especially weird because it was placed on the ground, flat.

"Come on! Jump in!" Brandon added before he jumped into the rectangle I thought his legs were going to hit and break when he jumped in, but he disappeared into the ground?"

"Are you sure this is safe?!" I hollered to Brandon. It was no use; he couldn't hear me. I sighed. Well, I don't really want to go.. I want to go home, but I guess I have no choice because I don't even know the way back.. Brandon took so many curves that I was already confused on the 3rd one! I jumped inside the rectangle.
