Chapter 5: A Surprise

Meridith POV
Derek was at school. I wasn't cause I didn't feel good. There was one thing that concerned me. What if I was pregnant? I walked to a store, bought the stick, went home and peed on it. I was shocked. I'm pregnant. I called Derek immediately. Derek picked up his phone, "Hey, Mer. How are you feeling?" I replied, "Derek I'm pregnant." I heard Derek's shock. He was shocked too. Derek was laughing. "Mer, I'm gonna come home right now, I'm happy for us." I replied, "But am I too young to be pregnant?" Derek replied, "No you are not!" Then, I heard a loud grunt. I asked Derek "Derek, what happened?" She realized his phone had dropped, but it was on speaker. Derek said, "Mark, stop punching me" I drove to the school fast as I can. I saw Derek bruised and bleeding, I came over to him. "Derek, are you okay?" Derek replied, "You shouldn't be here, you're pregnant." Mark overheard. Mark punched Derek again. The principal came.

Derek POV
Meredith got an ice pack and put it on the spots that are swelling and about to swell. I was bleeding on my head, lips, and knuckles. Meredith said, "Don't ever get injured like this again! What if I never get to see you again?" Derek replied back, "Nonsense." Then, the principal came in. The principal asked, "Derek, are you okay? Mark got suspended." Derek replied, "I'm fine, Mr. Webber." The principal nodded and went out of the room. "Meredith, are you really pregnant?" She nodded. She was crying. I said, "Its okay, Mer. We will raise this child the best we can." She was on my chest, breathing heavily.

Mark POV
Im at home, in my room, crying. Should I even be crying? I said in my mind. I tried to call Derek but he ignored my calls. I left him a voicemail.
But he rethought about it. Meredith is carrying Derek's child. Derek is happy with Meredith. Then I said in my mind, "but I'm a whore. I've been sleeping with girls since I was 13."

Meredith POV
Derek and I went to get an ultrasound. A doctor came in, she introduced herself as Dr. Addison Montgomery. The doctor said "Baby is looking good, Grey." Derek and I smiled. Then, Addison kept staring at Derek, she thought he was very charming, even for a high school boy. Then Addison said, "Derek, may I talk to you outside?" Meredith said, "Why what's wrong?" Derek nodded anxiously. Addison said, "Derek, I think I'm falling in love with you." She tried to lean in for a kiss but Derek pulled away. "I'm sorry but I can't. I love Meredith so much and we're having a child. I won't love anybody else but her." He walked back inside. I asked, "Derek, is there something wrong?" I replied back, "No, the doctor confessed her love to me, but I said I loved you, and you're having our child. I think we should get a new doctor." I agreed and we went to a new hospital with a new doctor.
