"The ambulance is here, you guys can go now." I said. Then Winnie approached me with a hug. I hugged back, of course. Then she waved goodbye, I waved goodbye back. I went back to my car. -drives then stops in middle of road- -phones rings and I struggle to get it- "Aha! I got the phone." Then an 18 wheeled truck came and ran into me.....
I came rushing into Dillard Medical Center. I was in the E.R.
Derek: Check my head. Check my head.
Penny: Get me a French tube!
Doctor: He's bleeding into his belly, book an O.R.
Penny: I think we should get him a head ct.
Derek: She's right, get me a head ct.
Doctor: We don't have time!
Derek: Yes we do. You are arrogant.
-doctors go out- -Winnie sees Derek-
Winnie: Derek?
Derek: Winnie you shouldn't be in here.
Winnie: Derek say something, I know you're not dead, you have a pulse.
Winnie: Hey, eyes on me. Its a beautiful day to save lives, right? So you stay not dead, okay?
Arrogant Doc: Hey, who's kid is this?
Penny: I'll handle it.
Derek: I'm not dead. I'm not dead.
Penny: Do you know who he is?
Winnie: Yeah he's my friend.
Winnie: -sees flashback of Derek telling her all the info about him just in case-
Penny: Do you know his name?
Winnie: He's Derek Shepherd. He works at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. He's a neurosurgeon. He saved all those car accident people including me.
Penny: He's a doctor?
Winnie: Yes. Please take good care of him.
Derek: -seizes-
Arrogant Doc: Buddy, stay calm.
Penny: He's a doctor. He's Derek Shepherd. He's a neurosurgeon. He works at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and he saved the car accident people that just came in.
-silence-
Derek: -seizes again- Check my head. Don't miss. Don't miss!
Arrogant Doc: Give him sux!
Derek: Guys, I'm stable. Take me to get the head ct.
-in surgery-
He keeps coding.
Arrogant Doc: Wait... He must've had a head lac. Check his pupils!
Unresponsive.
Penny: PAGE NEUROSURGERY RIGHT FREAKING NOW!
Penny and Arrogant Doc: Is he here?
He's at dinner, he'll say he will be there in 20 minutes.
Derek: It'll be too late. You're too late.
-30 min later-
Penny: Where the hell is neurosurgery?
-neurosurgery comes in-
Neuro Doc: I gotta work like hell to save this man now. He was stable, you could've gotten him a head ct. Get me a craniotomy tray.
Derek: Its too late....
Meredith comes to the hospital.
Meredith: Give me the files.
Meredith: The call not to get a head ct was a bad call.
Penny: We're not a trauma center, we're a teaching hosp-
Meredith: You did the best you could.
Meredith: -goes to Derek- Remember when we first met in high school, Derek? I used to call you McDreamy all the time cause you are dreamy. Derek. Wake up. Derek. -cries- -gets flashback of all the memories-
Nurse: Ma'am are you ready?
Meredith: Wait, please. -kisses Derek-
Meredith: -puts hand on chest-
Nurse: Are you ready now?
Meredith: No, but go ahead.
Nurse: -pulls tube out-
Derek: -huge breath-
Meredith: Derek, its okay, you go.
