You hit me
That thought keeps playing over
The thing you said you'd never do
The one thing you were so against
A peaceful evening had turned into
A disastrous fight
And a sharp twang to a nerve
That I didn't mean to touch
But you touched me
At full force
Right to my cheek
An angry red mark now
Our love
Was as sweet and nourishing as water
But we both know now
That blood is much thicker
