Darksyde

The night was silent as wolves of the Shadow-claw pack gathered around the bodies of their alpha's sons: Blake and Tyler.

Maki whimpered beside Xavier, the pack leader and also her mate, as they finished the burial. After the last clump of dirt was patted over the bodies, the pack all howled once, then headed back.

When Xavier and Maki were back in their cave, Xavier couldn't stand it anymore. He blamed himself for the deaths of his two sons. Maki tried to reason with him that it wasn't his fault, but he was stubborn and could not be dissuaded.

For the next few weeks Maki and Xavier were so depressed from grieving all the time and reminiscing the memories of their sons, that they too died.

Shortly afterwords, the Shadow-claw pack was in chaos because they could not find a new leader. Some even believed the pack was cursed, so they left.

With the Shadow-claw pack's size reduced and their leader gone however, it opened up new doors for outside packs. Before long, the Night Ninjas took advantage of that.

At the side of their villainous new she-wolf leader, Maple, the Night Ninjas attacked the Shadow-claw pack ferociously, leaving few survivors and many wounded or dead.

"This is a new era" the she-wolf leader, Maple, announced to the newly combined pack. "This is Darksyde."
