It was another cool, misty morning and Heather was out hunting deep in the forest. But she hadn't caught anything yet, there were several thoughts weighing on her mind. Coal and Taka had been missing for three days now, not to mention Breeze had found her mate, Ringo.
Coal and Taka had said they were hunting, but have been gone for three days now. Breeze had gone out to search for them, but ran into a golden-brown wolf, whom she later found out was her mate. It also turned out that Ringo was part of the Misted Veil pack, which was about a two day journey away. Although Heather was sad about her daughter living so far away, she was also happy that Breeze had found her soulmate.
There was a loud rustling in the bushes that brought Heather back to reality. As she silently crept towards the clump of bushes, Heather readied herself before leaping to the other side and crushing the prey beneath her paws. Looking down, Heather recognized a squirrel. The problem was that it's fur was pitch black.
'A black squirrel?' Heather thought to herself. 'Aren't they supposed to be a bad omen?' Despite these thoughts, Heather came to terms with the fact that this was the first fresh-kill she had caught in awhile. Therefore it made sense to still take it back to the cave and eat it.
Moments later, Sharp saw Heather running towards him with what looked like a piece of actual meat. Sharp's mouth started to water. With the humans closing in, most of the prey had scattered, and it would be a miracle just to go to bed full instead of hungry. The moment the squirrel hit the ground, Heather and Sharp dug into it, making sure to consume every last bite.
After eating, Sharp asked "Have you found Coal or Taka?"
"No." Heather murmured, sadly. "Do you want to search more today?"
"Of course! If you're ready, we should go." Sharp stated.
Heather chuckled, then said "Ok, but let's split up so we can cover more ground."
Sharp nodded his head in understanding before taking off into the woods. Heather followed suite, but instead of going the way Sharp had, she went the opposite direction.
It wasn't long before Heather saw the silhouette of a wolf in the distance. Thinking it was either Coal or Taka, Heather bounded towards it. Ice cold fear gripped her heart though, when the wolf smirked cruelly at Heather as she was knocked out from behind. The last thing Heather noticed before she faded into unconsciousness was that the wolf she had seen looked familiar. Maple's daughter!

Hello. I know it's been awhile, and I will admit that I have gotten lazy. However, I will try to update whenever I can. This is tough, considering I have sports to do and homework/studying as well. And, as I mentioned earlier, I am slightly lazy. I also get writer's block every now and then. I'm sorry you have to wait so long between my updates! But at least know I am trying. (:
Thanks!
