It's been a few days since class started and I haven't gotten used to it yet. I'm in my second year in college already and classes have been hell. I enrolled in a Psychology class because it's part of my curriculum. Not that I wanted it, but because I'm required. We only meet three times a week.
During the first day of class, we were asked to introduce ourselves. Stupid, right? Our professor was Dr. Vidia. She was around her 50s or 60s. It would be terrible of me if I asked her. Not sure if she'd be embarrassed or get mad at me so I ended up guessing. She's quite good looking for her age. A good figure as well. What the hell am I thinking? I got rid of the ideas and thoughts of our professor as my classmate ended his introduction.
"Thank you for that, Will," Dr. Vidia says after Will, a classmate of mine, who sat next to me, introduced himself. He was just your average Joe. Not that smart and not that stupid as well. Not quite popular and my kind of friend, I thought to myself.
"Well then, next person, would you please stand up in front and introduce yourself," Dr. Vidia said while looking at her record book.
"If it'd be alright with you Doc, I'd like to introduce myself from where I sit." I say.
"Very well then," she glared at me. "Proceed"
"Emmmmm, Good afternoon everybody" I looked around and continued, "I am Anthony McPartlin, 20 years old, taking up History." Then, I sat. Silence filled the room until broken by Dr. Vidia.
"Stand up, Mr. McPart..." she paused.
"McPartlin, Maam." I corrected standing up.
"Oh yes, we'd like to know more. I'd be unfair to the rest of the class if you shared just a bit."
"Ok Maam. Emmmmm. I lived in Newcastle, and transferred somewhere nearby the university. My favourite sport is football. Aaaand, I love Newcastle United." I ended and looked at the professor. She nodded with content and I sat down. Phew.
The rest of the classmates continued until the class was over. Then off to my next class. When will this day end? I got through the day and went back to my pad.
It was almost evening when I got there. The first year of staying here was hell. The tenants of the building told me ghost stories and such. I couldn't sleep well the first few days. Every creep and crack scared me. I got over it eventually.
A few days passed. My morning classes were great; History, my major, Political Science and a few minor subjects. After lunch, I went straight to my Psychology classroom. As I got in, I saw a young looking lad talking to Dr. Vidia in her open cubicle. A late enrolly, I thought to myself. Then I went to my seat and sat waiting for class to start. The boy stood near the door and Dr. Vidia made her daily class speeches. She does that every start of the class. It was getting annoying.
"Good morning, before anything else, I'd like you all to meet..." she looked over the boy and asked him to stand beside her in front.
"Declan Donnelly," he said.
"Yes, Declan. Please introduce yourself further." She moved away and let Declan do his introduction.
"Good morning, everyone," he started. I heard a familiar accent. One I am very well aware of. "I am Declan Donnelly, from Newcastle." I knew it.
"I'm taking up English. I just enrolled here in the university. I hope I haven't missed a lot of lessons. And, emmmm, I do sport as well. Football is my sport. Newcastle United is my favourite."
And with that he ended his introduction. He still stood in front, looking for a seat. I looked around, and damn. I just found out Will hasn't shown up yet. Dr. Vidia asked Declan to seat next to me.
He approached the seat and smiled at me. I smiled back of course. I don't know why, but I felt something. I sound so silly, I know. But I do. I felt something. Declan sat down and looked at my direction. Then he offered his hand. "Declan Donnelly, Dec for short."
I took his hand, "Anthony McPartlin. Ant" I smiled.
"Newcastle?" Dec smirked.
"Is my accent that obvious?" I laughed.
"Not really, I just knew I guess." He laughed as well then looked at his hand. I was still holding his hand. I released his hand quickly and faced in front.
"Sorry 'bout that" I apologized quickly, avoiding eye contact.
"No worries mate, time for class, then," he said.
Sometime during class, Dr. Vidia made an announcement. "Pair up and get ready for reporting. Then submit to me a piece of paper with you and your partners name on it." There was a sudden noise in the classroom after the announcement, they seemed excited.
"Well," I started while looking at Dec. "Will, was supposed to be sitting but since he ain't here then that makes you my partner."
"Oh, I didn't know it was taken." Dec said, alarmed.
"Don't mind that. It's ok, his fault for missing the class." I smiled, to reassure him it was ok. He smiled back. Cute, I thought. What the hell?! I looked away. "That's settled then, you're my partner"
"Great," he said calmly. I looked at him and he was smiling. Why is he smiling over that?
We passed our paper to Dr. Vidia and sat back to our seats.
Dr Vidia told the pairs their respective report topics and when to report them. "Anthony and Declan,:" she paused. "You both will be reporting on Lies, how to lie and how to know if one is lying. " The reports were basically about human behaviour, an interesting topic. "You will be reporting this, after Peter and Wendy's report."
Those names sound familiar; I couldn't point it out where I heard those names. I decided not to ponder upon it. Peter and Wendy were the 13th to report. One month from now, I thought.
"Guess we're gonna present one month from now" I told Dec.
"Guess so. I mean, at least I'll have time to get to know you better as well." He smirked.
I hope it's going to be a fun month, I wished, doing our report. But damn, it's true what they say. Be careful of what you wished for.

note: i tried to make an AU of Ant and Dec. I hope you like it. I'd to apologize I disappointed. Feel free to give comments. :)
Not sure if i leave the story as is or continue. xD
