Chapter 8

*Dakoda's POV*

"Dude, quit tripping, okay. I'm sure she's fine," Jesse tells me. I can't stop thinking about Hunter. I feel like she's in trouble. "How would you know?" I asked, sighing. I know he's right, that I need to stop worrying, but I just can't, I've never felt like this before. I didn't get any sleep last night and Jesse stayed over to make sure that I didn't do anything..stupid.
"Ughhh, it'll be fine!! She'll be at school, unhurt, perfectly fine," he says very confidently, as if he knew he was right. God, please let him be right.
"Okay, okay. You're right," I said more to myself, trying to convince myself that she's okay. God what the fuck is wrong with me?!?!
I go upstairs to get dressed. I put on my pierce the veil shirt with black ripped skinny jeans. I put on my black converse and looked in the mirror. I look okay.. I turned around and put my black lip rings on and put on my beanie. I nodded my head with approval and grabbed my bag and went down stairs. I'm to stressed to eat breakfast, I just wanted to get to school, fast.
"Let's go," I said as I went out the door.

*Hunter' s POV*

Beep! Beep! Beep! Ughhh, my head is pounding. I rolled over and turned off the alarm and layed back down.
Why does my head hurt so much?? Fuck, I have school today. Great, note the sarcasm. I checked the time and got up.
I put on my Escape The Fate shirt on with red skinny jeans and my black combat boots. I brushed out my black hair and put in my black amd red snakebites. I put on eyeliner and mascara amd put on some foundation to hide the huge bruise on my face and grabbed my bag and went out of my room.
I went in the kitchen and got a bowl of cereal. I was almost done when I heard a noise from upstairs. Shit! I poured out the rest of the cereal and went upstairs. I went in my room, and there was nothing, so I went to my dad's room and was glass broken everywhere. What the fuck!?!? Someone threw a brick through the window. This is so fucked up.
I looked out the window and saw some guy in all black running down the street. Wow, real mature.
I cleaned up the glass and started walking to school. When I get there I go to my locker and get my books for my first class when someone pulled me away and when into the janitors closet. Instantly I started to struggle and kicked whoever kidnapped me in the shin. "Shit! What the fuck Hunter!?!" I turned around and saw Dakoda. I stood there, frozen. I didn't know what to do. He seemed to notice.
"Why did you just run away!? You scared the living shit outta me!! Are you okay?? Are you hurt?" He asked me a whole lot of questions, and I just stood there. I didn't know it until he wiped the tear that escaped my eyes off my cheek, that I was crying. "Shh, shh, don't cry beautiful," he said and without even thinking I hugged him. He rubbed my back and let me cry. I didn't even care that I was probably going to be late to my first hour. When my crying stopped and pulled away and looked at me. He ran his thumb over my cheek and took a deep breath. "Hunter," he said, but stopped. "Hmm?" I asked. "What happened? Why did you leave?" He asked. I sighed, "Because you heard everything. You are the first person that actually acknowledged me and you found out about my past. I thought you would freak out or kick me out and stop talking to me, so I ran." I said. "Why would I do any of that?" He asked.
I started crying again, but continued. "Because..when my ex found out, he started to abuse me also. He would hit me and he would cut me. That's when I started to cut myself.." he looked pissed, I could tell. He's clenching his fists. He raised up his arm and I ducked and there was a loud bang, "Why would anyone what to hurt someone as beautiful and fragile as you!?!" He yelled. I looked down at my tiny frame, ashamed. I could feel the heat in my eyes, the tears trying to escape, but I blinked them back.
He put his hands on my shoulders and made me look at him. "I won't hurt you, I promise." He said and brushed back a piece of my hair that fell in my eyes, and I flinched and closed my eyes. "I'm sorry for reacting the way I did, I didn't mean to scare you, Hunter. But I will never hurt you," He said. "Please believe me." I opened my eyes and he looked like he was about to cry. But I can't, not yet. How can I trust him, I barely know him. "It's not that easy." I said. "What do you mean?" " How am I suppose to believe you? Or trust you? I barely know you. And the last person that I trusted, put me in the hospital, and almost killed me." I said. I looked at him and a year escaped his eye, "Hunter, I'm so sorry that that happened to you. You don't deserve to be treated that way. You should be treated with respect and love. You should feel loved, not hurt. And I'm sorry that that person betrayed you and broke your trust, but I'm asking for you to trust me." He said. He's so believable! But Ethan was too, and he hurt you the most. Ughhh, why brain!?! I took a deep breath, fuck it, "Okay, I trust you." I said. And then his lips where on mine. I was shocked at first, and couldn't move, but I have in and melted under his touch. His tongue traced my bottom lip, wanting more access, but I refused. He bit my lip and I gasped, taking that opportunity, he deepened the kiss and explored my mouth. He stopped and looked me in the eyes, catching his breath. His blue-gray eyes were mesmerizing, and I couldn't look away. Then he smiled and there was a look in his eyes. I was about to question it but he turned around and disappeared through the door.
