Chapter 19

*Dakoda's POV*

I layed in my bed staring at the ceiling with Hunter in my arms. I look at her sleeping figure and smile, I'm the luckiest guy in the whole universe. I kiss the side of her head and she stirred in her sleep. I stroke her hair until her breathing evened out again. I wanna ignore this weird feeling that something's not right, but I can't. For whatever reason, I feel like she's had sex before. And I don't wanna ask her, cause then she'll get mad and run away again or worse, cut again. I shake the thoughts outta my head and just listened to her breathing until I felt my eyes getting heavy and I fell asleep.

I woke up and immediately had to piss. I gently layed Hunter on in my bed and went to the bathroom. When I got back she was up. She had the covers wrapped around her and she looked confused. Oh no. I took advantage of her while she was on whatever she was on. "Uh, Dakoda.." She said. I ran my hands threw my hair and sighed. "Yes?" I asked. "What happened last night...?" She asked. I can't tell her that I used her. But i didn't use her..right? Ughhh!! I looked at her and she seemed unconfortable so I threw her one of my shirts to put on and sat down. "Well..it started with you taking to many of your pills. You were all over me.." I saw the look on her face and quickly added "B-but I didn't do anything, I didnt want to take advantage of you." I said. "But..." She said and I sighed. "But..then I told you to take a shower and you told me to go into the bathroom with you cause you didn't wanna be alone." She put her head in her hands. I knew she wasn't going to like the next part. "Then you took off your clothes and mine and..well..you know.." I said and I heard her crying. "But I thought that you were ok, that you weren't all drugged out." I added. She was shaking from crying so much. I wrapped my arms around her and she leaned into me. "If I knew you were drugged out and not willing, I wouldn't have done it" I whispered. She looked up at me and I wiped the tears off of her face. Her beautiful eyes were shining. She sniffed, "S-so you didn't take advantage of me...?" She asked. I kissed her forehead and nodded. "You know why I freaked out?" She said. My eyes went wide. "Uh y-yeah if you want.." I said. She nodded and took a deep breath. "Well, first of all, I would want to remember having sex with my boyfriend. And second..." She trailed off, trying to find her words. She was sitting on her legs and I put my hand on her leg. She looked at me and I smiled. "You don't have to if you don't want to." I said reassuring her. I have a feeling that this is what the weird feeling I had last night is about.
She brought her legs to her chest and hugged them tightly.
"You know that say you saw me and was asking me what was wrong and that you didn't see me all that day..." She trailed off. I nodded. "Well...I got beat up..pretty bad. And not just beaten up.." She said. Then realization hit me. My eyes widened and I saw tears in her eyes. "Y-you...you g-got.." I couldn't even finish the sentence. She just nodded and she started bawling, her head in her hands and she was shaking really bad. I brought her to me and I held her close. I rubbed her back and stroked her hair until she calmed down.  I grabbed her face to make her look at me. She looks so broken. I tucked her hair behind her ear and wiped away a single tear.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded.
I gave her a look that made her laugh. Then I made her look at me again. "Are you sure?? I have to know that you're okay." I said and she leaned forward and gave me a kiss. She pulled away and laughed. "I am now. I have you" she said. Now that I know she's okay..I need to find this fucker and kill him. I'll find him. For now, I need to keep my beautiful princess happy and safe. I look over at her and smile.
