It hurts,the piercing pain, when the person you know turns out to be a different person. You loved and cherished him, but then you realize that he doesn't feel the same way you thought he did.

I have hurt myself enough in his thoughts, so I decide to run. Run far away from that life which I thought was the best. I had to move as fast as my legs could take me. To change who I was to who I want to be. For a better life,and to be a better person.

Here I am, in Pasadena, city of California. I flew in with my family few weeks back. My mom always felt that change in my surroundings will change me from what I had become. Lucky enough my dad was transferred to Pasadena. I'm going to leave all my past back there and start a new life in this new place.

But I'm still on run from one thing. LOVE, which can do wonders to many and at the same time for some these four letters can destroy every inch of your body and kill you everyday.

I just sit there scanning my new room hoping that everything changes in a good way. Yes, only in a good way. I sort out my stuff which were scattered all around and lie down on my bed and slowly drift off to sleep.

And even before I could realize it was morning.
"Oli, sweetie, wake up" my mom pulls the curtains apart,and the sunlight fall directly on my face.

"Mom" I scream as I cover myself with my blanket.

" Olivia, it's high time you get out of that bed young lady. I'm not going to repeat myself" she says in her stern voice.

She's definitely not in a good mood, because she called me by my full name which she only does when she is stressed about something. So I manage to rise up from my bed.

"Good morning" I smile at her and place a small kiss on her cheek.

"You seem to be in a very good mood today" she says and I can feel a smile cover her face as I stand inside my bathroom brushing my teeth.

"And you don't seem to be in a good mood today" I say washing my face.

"It's nothing Oli" she tries to hide how nervous or scared she is.

"Seriously" I walk out and glare at her, I know her when she lies to me.

"Okay fine. I'm nervous and scared and don't know what. It's been a while I have seen you like this, happy and smiling , after what happened back home when he...." She starts blabbing and I didn't want to hear any more of it so I cut her out.

"Mom, breathe. Okay, now you need to know that I am fine" I say and get back inside.

"Yes. God I know your fine and look at me standing here and blabbing. I just want you to know that we love you and we are here for you. And sweetie remind me next time to never bring that up again" she says as she tries to pull out an outfit for me from my cupboard.

I came out of the bathroom "Yes Mom, I know and I love you too. Plus this is me reminding you now, to never ever bring that up again. Okay" I say and smile at her hoping that she'll feel better and yes she did.

"Okay. I'm so happy. It's your first day of junior year college. Hope you find some hot guys" she says and winks at me.

"Mom, get out of my room" I say with a total serious look on my face.

"I'm just saying" she laughs.

"Out,Now" I shout and she rushes out.

I take a shower and wear my outfit for my first day to college. Junior year, here I come.All set for a new beginning. I an hoping everything goes as planned.

I go to the kitchen and take my bread toast and milk and sit down next to my sister.

"Good morning Oli" my dad wishes from behind the newspaper.

"Good morning dad" I say with my mouth filled with toast.

"Oli dad's got you a new car, can you drop me to school?"my sister says as she drinks her glass of milk.

"Wait,what? New car!" I spit out my milk.

"Thank you Amber,for blowing my surprise"Dad says as he stands up and I can see he's not happy with Amber, my sweet little stupid sister's outburst.

He hands over the car keys to me " Yes I brought you a new car. It's not much..it's Just a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 2007 model. It was supposed to be a surprise". He says and stares at my sister.

"Sorry" she says with a low voice.

"It's okay Amber. It was rather a big surprise. And dad it's awesome. I love you. Thank you so much" I say and hug my dad.

There, I kick start the day with a huge surprise.We finish our breakfast and leave.
