After that I went and sat at the park. It was quiet and not many people were there. Weather was ok too. The bandaged around my head moved around in the wind, well, the loose parts. The girl from the crowd walked past me. At first she didn't realise, but when she turned around again she did.
"You're the guy from the incident" she said.
I sat in silence.
"Why are you out this late?" She asked.
"Where I live is no different from being here" I replied.
"What? So you're homeless?" She asked.
I nodded.
"I never would've guessed...." she said.
"By the way, what's your name? Mine is Atsuko" she said.
"Kurosaki" I replied.
"You're not very talkative.." she said.
"That's because everyone I cared about is either dead or missing" I said.
"Oh..... Sorry. .." she said.
"You said nothing wrong. I've moved on now" I replied.
She sat down and we talked for a while. She met up with me several times after that. She didn't know about my true self. But before I knew it, our relationship escalated faster than I could imagine.*2 years later*
I lay down on the sofa. It was about 5pm, I was waiting for Atsuko to come home. She was working, we both work, but she works alot later than I do. I'm just a cashier in a pizza store. Not much. She works at a clothes store. We both have relatively boring jobs. She arrived soon after doing the same thing she does when she gets in; complains about the about of stairs there is. She started her routine off by running and jumping on top of me. Awkward. But it's just wierd. I slowly began to lower the amount of kills. After work I would kill one person. That's it. One per day. I still enjoyed killing. The voices still talked to me. Even though we're so close, Atsuko had never seen my eye either. We never bring it up, it's never mentioned. At all. Well, until today. She was lying next to me, cuddling into me as we lay on the sofa. She leaned over me and kissed me.
"I have a question" she said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Why do you hide your eye?" She asked.
"Well.... it's hard to explain..." I replied. She slowly slid her hand up my face, and under the bandage to pull it off. I let her. I couldn't be lying. Since I already am about something serious.
She jumped up with shock.
"What happened?" She asked.
"When I was younger I got into a serious fight. Then this happened" I replied.
"You need to get that checked" she said.
She rapidly stood up and tried to get me to go.
"No. It's fine. It was at the time. Before I became homeless" I said.
"You sure you're ok?" She asked.
"Yes. But thank you" I replied.
