11:00 am, Saturday
"Hello?"
"Kayden-kun! Are you available today?"
The voice, no, the shriek from the other side came from nobody except Asami.
How da hell does she know my number!?
"Yeah... yeah I am. Why?"
The first voice I heard was from Yuumi, seated across me.
"Kayden, who's that?"
I held my phone away from my head as I reply in a monotone voice.
"It's just Asami"
Yuumi raised an eyebrow at my statement. Her eyes alone shouted "For real!?" as she shouted:
"JUST Asami!?"
"Er... why?"
She slams her hands on the table and leans forward.
"Little bro, whatever she's offering, say yes!"
"Uh..."
I just shook my head with cluelessness as I put the phone back on my-
"HELLO!!!?!?!?"
-ear...
"Holy sh*t... don't scream in my ear"
"Sorry sorry! You didn't answer for a while that's why"
I let out a short deep breath.
"Whatever. What do you want?"
"Ow~ please don't use that tone!"
"Er..."
I glanced at Yuumi, and then I remembered what she wanted me to do.
"... be nicer..."
I then rethought my next words, and changed to a more tolerable tone of voice.
"Sorry I thought you were a... stalker"
"E-ehhh!?"
"I didn't realize it was you... Asami... er... -chan?"
I only heard a loud gasp at the other end of the line, and Yuumi put up a face that said "Did you just say what I think you just said?"
Seriously. What's up with humans...
I returned focus to the phone call.
"... ah, well that's understandable... I didn't say who I was before I called right?"
"Right you are"
"And we both know how dense and slow you are at catching on" she goggles at the other end,
"Yeah..."
That last one honestly hurt my feelings
"Well anyway, back to my question. Are you free today?"
"Yeah I am, why?"
"Wanna go out?"
"Go... out...?"
SPLOOCH!!!
All of the sudden, drops of blood came splashing towards me. I covered most of my face with my other hand, and suddenly my thoughts went wild.
Did a murderer just sneak into the house!?
I looked and only saw Yuumi with blood dripping from her nose.
