Chapter 5 - On The Train

I wondered my way through the train station, my parents trailing behind me. Every detail of last night was engraved into my brain. After those last few words from Daniel some tall man who looked about fifty rushed up to me, along with my dad, and whisked us away to a hidden gazebo. Before I knew what was happening I was enrolled in Ace.

The only thing I was wondering was what Blake thought about my dragons, and what had actually happened with my dragons. And maybe why I was suddenly being accepted into this school.

I said my farewells to my parents and walked onto the exquisite train. Someone from behind me grabbed my wrist and right when I was about to break their hand I saw it was Lily. “Relax,” she soothed, “I knew you would be here.”

            This puzzled me. “How?”

“I just knew it.” She laughed and I smiled, though not whole-heartedly. She knew something that I didn’t and she wasn’t telling me. I saw the interior of the car we were in and my eyes widened. There were compartments in here like in the Harry Potter movies, but the spaces were bigger, with a bit more room. Lily pulled me into the last compartment and the chatter that had been floating in the air abruptly stopped. All eyes were on me as Lily pushed me down to sit in a little booth thingy. She left and returned with some drinks and sat across from me. “So what happened last night?”

“I’m not exactly sure,” I dodged. “Why?”

“Because the kids around us are looking impressed, really, really impressed, and there are only two people who have managed to impress them in any way in this generation.”

            I asked the question. “Who?”

            “Me and Blake.”

I scowled as she said his name. I should have known he would be the one to make a mark on the school’s population. I mean, come on. Right when I laid eyes on him I could tell he was one of the biggest egomaniacs I would ever meet. Lily’s smile grew sadder but happier when she saw my reaction to his name. A confused look crossed her face. “What grade are you in, again?”

          “Tenth?”

“Really, you don’t look like sophomore.”

         “Yea, I just turned fourteen.”

“Really?” said a voice, but it wasn’t Lily’s.

          Oh great, Violet muttered

My head lifted to see Blake standing above me with an amused grin plastered onto his face.

“Why are you here?” Lily and I spat.

“Just here to welcome the newbie,” he replied, squeezing into my side of the booth even though I refused to move. “I had no idea little Miss. America would be joining the big kids in tenth grade."

           He better shut it,Yellow started.

Before he gets a black eye, Red finished.

Crystal was wrapped around my wrist to look like a bracelet, but I could still see her rolling her eyes. I nearly smiled.

Shut up! You guys are so distracting, I thought what she wanted to.
