Third Pov.

There Loki laid, unconscious and unaware of his surroundings. He had a thick layer of sweat on his forehead and any other part of his body that fell victim to the hot sun's rays. Loki began to stir around, as if he was awakening, but he just couldn't seem to get his eyes open. They seemed to weigh a thousand tons and sting in the most agonizing way imaginable.

Loki was soon able to move his body, allowing him to sit up. From there, Loki found it easier to open his eyes. He slowly pulled his eyelids open and attempted to get use to the sudden burst of light.

Once Loki got use to the sun's bright light, he began to look around. His eyebrows suddenly furrowed in confusion. Where was he? How did he get here? He stared intently at the mountains that were not green, but coded in what looked to be molting lava instead. Everything looked to be either burning or already burnt.

"What a waste of space." Loki thought to himself as he began to wonder who in the universe would want to live in a fiery wasteland such as this one. All of a sudden, Loki's thoughts were interrupted when he heard yelling and hundreds of footsteps.

He quickly whipped his body around to face the direction from whence it came. Loki peered his eyes ever so slightly in an attempt to get a better look at what was heading his way. As the figures began to come into view, Loki saw that it was a stampede of fiery giants.

"Ah, no wonder they live here." Loki smirked in attempt to lighten the scared mood that he suddenly found himself in. He had no clue of where he was or how he had gotten here. And to top it all off, he had a stampede of angry fiery men running towards him for reasons unknown. He could run away from them, yes, but where was he suppose to go? Go and die from dehydration and starvation? No, these rage filled beasts were his only hope.

"State your name and business outsider!" One of the beasts commanded. Loki raised his hands above his head signaling that he was surrendering to these puny beings. "I said-!"

"I know what you said, beast. Yet, you give me no time to reply."

"Oh, we have ourselves a smart mouth in our mists." Beast said, causing the other beasts to agree with his words.

"Well, actually, they call me the silver tongue." Loki said with a smirk planted upon his face. All of the beasts scowled at him and seemed to be preparing to attack him, but suddenly a voice stopped them in doing so.

"Stop!" Came a woman's voice from inside the crowd.

"Your instructions were to bring the intruder to the palace, not murder him." She said as she made her way to the front of the crowd. As the woman came to the front, her words ceased when she laid eyes upon Loki. She suddenly gasped and rushed towards him. Loki, a bit unsure, took a step back from the woman. Noticing how she was acting, the woman quickly came to a stop and then bowed before him.

"Behold, the Promised One." Loki gave her a confused look, but then stopped when he heard the rest of the beasts gasp at her words.

"Madam, are you sure it's him?" The woman stood and looked towards the crowd.

"Have I ever misled you, huh? Why do you not place your trust in me now? Brothers, have faith in my words. He is the One." After her speech, she spun back around to face Loki.

"Come with me, sir. There is somewhere you need to be." Loki stood still and kept quiet. There was no way he was going with this psycho woman that he didn't even know the name of. Once she realized that Loki wasn't following her, she stopped and turned back around to face him.

"Trust me sir, you are going to want to come with us." When Loki didn't say anything, she sighed and lowered her head.

"You leave me no choice then. Guards, cuff him." The guards then quickly grabbed his wrists and placed them in handcuffs.

"Sorry, but you have somewhere that you need to be."

As the group continued to walk, they began to enter the city, or what was left of it. Loki looked around the scorched civilization that stood in front of him and wondered how someone could live in such a state.

"Don't let her looks fool you." The woman said, referring to the city.

"She used to be part of a great and powerful realm."

"What happened?" Loki said, letting his curiosity get the best of him. The woman's eyes widened and she glanced at him.

"The outsider speaks. I was beginning to wonder if you were mute." Loki pondered her words, and that was when he realized that that was first time he had spoken to the woman.

"Well, I will not answer your question right now, perhaps later. Right now, we are going to introduce you to someone." Loki suddenly found himself growing nervous. Of course he did a splendid job of pretending that he wasn't, but that didn't take away the fact that he was a bit on edge.

He had so many questions running through his head: where was he supposed to be, who was he supposed to see, how did he even get here, why did that lady call him the promised one? Loki was beginning to grow frustrated at the fact that he had so many unanswered question running through his head. He was never fond of being 'out of the loop', as the Migardians called it.
