The guards forced the prisoner back into her cell. It was a long and tiresome journey that consisted of numerous flights of stairs and many long, cold, and dark hallways. Once they finally reached their destination, the guards quickly took the chains off of the beams and latched them back up onto the hooks that were propped up high onto the brick wall. As they began to leave, one of the guards laughed and continued to mock the woman once the door was securely shut and locked.

"I don't know why everyone makes such a big fuss about you. You can communicate to the Almighty One, so what?" The woman smirked and stared at the man's dimly lit face.

"You must be new here, yes?" The young guard crossed his arms with a sassy, 'humph' to go along with it.

"Perhaps."

"Than no one has been able to tell you just what I can do, have they?" The guard shook his head, beginning to grow afraid of the woman. Just what could she do?

"Would you like me to demonstrate?" She continued on as she lifted her hands and began to twirl her fingers around preparing her magic for a trick. But before she had the chance, one of the other guards grabbed the younger, less experienced guard and whispered into his ear.

"Son, if you value your existence, I would quit talking to the witch and mind your own business." With that, both of them turned around and began to walk away, but not without the two sharing evil glares first.

                                       •     •     •     •

"King Loki, I know that I am in no position to ask you this of you, but I beg of you, please grant me this one wish." Loki sighed and glanced at the woman next to him. He was beginning to grow frustrated with the woman, for she had not left his side for over an hour. All that he desired was for her let him alone, but apparently she needed him to yell it at her for her to understand.

"What is it, Erica?" There was a pause before she spoke, as if she was extremely nervous to ask him what was on her mind, which caused Loki to grow even more impatient than he already was.

"Speak woman!" Erica slightly jumped at his booming voice, but quickly regained her poise.

"I wish for you to free the woman who brought you here." Loki looked at her, totally and completely appalled. Why would he free someone who even the guards of the castle feared so much as to hide behind tables?

"Give me one good reason why I would do such a thing. Why should my first actions, as King, be to free the beast that everyone fears?"

"She is not a beast, your majesty."

"Oh, really, and how would you know such a thing?" Erica sighed and lowered her head wishing that she had never said anything. But at the same time, she told herself to suck it up and finish what she had started. Finally regaining her courage back, she lifted her head and looked Loki straight into his gorgeous, emerald green eyes.

"Because your majesty, I know her better than anyone, for she is my sister, Rheda." Loki's eyes widened and he quickly stood up making his way over towards Erica.

He tried to examine her face, attempting to see their resemblance. Loki startled her by grabbing her chin and forcing her face where he wished it to be. But no matter what angle he saw her face from, he saw no resemblance.

"You lie, I find no resemblance between you and her."

"That is because she is my adoptive sister, but that doesn't stop me from loving her and knowing her like she was my blood sister." Loki stayed silent and stared at Erica. The words that she spoke, they reminded him of something that Thor would say.

"Does she feel the same about you?" Erica lowered her head.

"Rheda does not think of me the same way that I do her. I love her dearly, but she stays in the past and hates me for things that I once did to her." Loki stared at her waiting for her to continue on with her story.

"A long time ago, when we were mere children, I never liked her or accepted her for reasons I know now were wrong. But now that we have grown older, my maturity has as well, but she refuses to love or accept me. I understand, though. After the way I treated her, I would not forgive myself either." Loki listened intently to every word that she had to say. Everything that she said reminded him of how Thor and him were. Maybe not everything was spot on exact, but the story was still incredibly similar. After being deep in thought for awhile, Loki came to a decision.

"I will free your sister, under two conditions." Erica's face instantly brighten up and a smile appeared on her face.

"Anything! You name it!"

"After a celebration is thrown celebrating my arrival, only then will I let her go. The party will take about two to three weeks to plan and put together, correct?" Erica nodded.

"Okay, well, here is the second condition. Until her release, and possibly after, haven't decided yet, she needs to be under constant watch, either by you or me."

"Why us? Why can't a simple guard watch her?"

"Because, you and I are the only two that can either control her, or that she won't kill, understand?" Erica nodded and bowed.

"I accept your terms of agreement."
