Chapter 3

Her P.O.V

I eat dinner at home a simple warm chicken pasta salad, as usual mum isn't home so I wash up and head to my room to sought out my shopping, then I take a relaxing bath, get into my PJs, hop into bed with my laptop and a cup of tea and scroll through my social media. I start wondering about if I should go on this vacation but if I do I will have to see him, I can't call him or it would just be plain awkward or will it? I go to my Skpe and scroll down so tempted to press the call button, what will he think? I quickly exit out of that, so temptation wouldn't get to me. I binge watched Dr Who, and my guilty pleasure Devious Maids. I feel asleep watching but I woke up as soon as I heard my Skpe being called. I open my laptop, Jack Mer is calling, I panic, should pick up? We hadn't talked in 3 years, I press answer. "Hello?"

"Hi, um, is that Lydia? It's Jack, Jack Mer."

"Yeah, it's Lydia, why are you calling."

"I'm sorry, a little birdie told me you might be coming back for a vacation, it that true?"

"Maybe, I'm not sure, it's with a bunch of people from school."

"If you come we should arrange to meet up, we didn't really leave us off on a good note, so I was thinking we could make up for it? If you want that is."

"I would really appreciate it if we did, I am still thinking about it. Thank for calling, I should probably go to sleep, I will call you tomorrow to tell you if I'm coming or not, ok?

"Ok, goodnight then!"

"Ok, bye!" I end the call, it didn't go as badly as I predicted, I check my clock, 10:30pm, I walk down stairs, mum and Luke are just having a glass of wine on the couch, "Hey sweetie" she says "Hi, um some people in my class are arranging a sought of small vacation, and they're going to the Bahamas, my home, and I was wondering if I could go, go home?" "Sweetie, this is your home, but of course you can go, when is it?"

"In 2 weeks"   

"Good, that gives you enough time to do some bikini shopping online! You want to keep up with the latest fashion! I hear kimono shawls are in this season"

"Thanks mum, speaking of shopping I bought some clothing today, the boutique had a new line of clothing out!"

"That's great to hear! ,now you should go get some sleep, you've got school tomorrow!"

"Ok, goodnight mum, night Luke!" I walk up the stairs, and into my room, I check my phone, "You have 1 Notification" the screen read, it was from Matthew, it read "Coming?" I replied "Yes". I turned my phone on silent then went to sleep.

His P.O.V

She replied with yes, she was coming, in my tummy I did butterflies. I didn't know what to feel, should I make the move this time? I knew she still has some relation on the island but I didn't know who with though. I texted Cameron saying to book the tickets. We were going to The Bahamas! I went to sleep on a high note, thinking how it would be tomorrow at school.

Her P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside and the sound of mum's car leaving the driveway. I wake up and take a shower, and then I organize an outfit for today, weather was cold with no sun and heavy clouds, wind freezing. I wear a pair of black woollen stocking, on top of that dark green & white checked overalls, under that a black turtleneck shirt, on top of all of that the new black coat I bought yesterday with a pair of dark green like velvet ankle high boots, then to top it all of a matching white woollen scarf and matching beret. I look at myself in the mirror, perfect. I grab a white bag from the shelf, put all my books in and go down stairs to get some breakfast, on the bench is a plate of hot pancakes with fresh fruit and cream, with a maple syrup smile on top, I sigh, Luke, he's the only one that cooks in the house and has time for this much detail. I make a cup of hot tea and sit down with my pancakes, and watch an episode of anime of my laptop. I put my dishes in the dishwasher and head upstairs to brush my teeth and do my hair. I put a little bit of BB cream because I was breaking out a bit, and decide to wave my hair, about 15 minutes later I grab my phone, keys and wallet and head downstairs to my White Mini, and drive round to Anna's, she's already waiting at the bend "What took u so long?" she asks "Luke made pancakes today, here, I bought you some!" she smiled contently, I drive to school and pull into my parking space. "Lydia, I forgot to ask, you going on the trip to The Bahamas?" I smile, she knows I am. We walk school and head to our first class, Science, today we were going to mix chemicals together, everyone had lab partner except me cause I was to advanced and no one knew what I was doing except me. I walk into class and see someone else sitting at my spot with a bunch of boys surrounding her. "Excuse me but this is my seat" I say to this red head chick

"You are excused but this chair doesn't say it's yours, does it now?"

"Actually it does, if you look on the reverse you'll see it says  on it Lydia so please move" she looks underneath it,

"So it does, but next time you're not getting away so easily" she gets of the seat and goes and sits next to Cameron. I sit down, and get my phone out and text Anna who the redhead is, and she says a transfer from Chicago. The periods race fast like a gust of wind and in no time it's lunch, I go to the canteen and go to sit with usual, except today it isn't usual because the redhead is there, Anna is already there and moves over for me, I sit down, and open my chicken wrap with a fruit salad, "Oh-no, not you again" she exclaims

"Look, if you have a problem with me being here, why don't you move?"

"Why don't you, I was here first"

"I don't want to move because I don't have a problem but frankly you do, and who are you to talk, you haven't even been here a day!"

"If we were in America, I would sue you for this!"

"What, sue me for stating the truth, wow, foreigners these day!" everyone goes silent, I know I'm about to tip her past the line, but she just gets up and leaves without a word but her face is red with anger. Everyone's staring at me like I've done something wrong, but they just burst out laughing, everyone except Cameron, he gets up abruptly and chases after her. "What's up with him?" I ask, "He fancies her! Plus she might be coming on the vacation with us!" Matthew replies. I frown, and just like that 2 weeks fly by, and we're at the boarding gate, waiting for our flight.
