Chapter 7

His P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of the door slamming shut, I raised myself onto my elbow and looked at the clock, it was six in the morning, I moaned and see that the bed beside me is empty, "he must be with Sarah" I mutter, I get up to open the curtains, I look down to see two figures embracing but another figure was cycling away into the distance, I out of my room and go knock on Lydia's door, no reply, I peek in, no one, but I see that Lydia's PJs are on the bed and that her satchel and phone are gone. I quickly get changed and walking towards the front door, and am shocked to see the sight of Anna and Jack embracing. Then I thought, that figure must have been Lydia, quickly realising I race past them, then stop and turn around and say to Anna "I thought you were better than this" then grab the other lonely bike and race after Lydia while texting- where r u? I didn't know where she was going, but I could only imagine how she felt, her best friend was hugging a boy she had been close with. I didn't really know here story but I knew it didn't end well. My phone dinged, the screen read 1 new text message from Lydia, reading-meet me at the gas station. I pedal as fast as I can reaching there and see her standing there, she looks up and I can see that she's been crying, her eyes red and puffy but her eyes still reflecting the same ocean blue. She rushes over to me and hug, nestling her head in the crook of my neck, I wrap my arms around her tight, "I've got you" I say and sit down with her in between my legs and we stay like that for a while. Finally when she stops crying she looks and laughs, "I look like a complete mess,"

"A very hot mess,"

"Only you would make fun of me in this time" she says, I look down and gaze into her eyes, seeing something different in her eyes, something like hope, thing it's like something switched on in her, "Follow me and don't ask any questions" she says with a cute smirk on her face, I felt something in me tingle like a little spark I hadn't felt before.

Her P.O.V

Why did he of all people have to be the knight in shining armour coming to save me, when I saw him I felt something I hadn't felt before something only one person had made me feel and ended up shattering me into a million different pieces. "Follow me and don't ask any questions" I say, this was my heart betraying me, he stares at me in puzzlement, I get back on the bike and motion for him to follow me, he does and we bike for ten minutes on the main road before turning onto a side track and biking into the mangroves, I stop at a big rock and turn around, "We leave the bikes here" I say, getting off are hiding it behind a big rock, he looked at me with such confused eyes, I smile and see him loosen up a bit, I go towards the rock and slip in between them finding the litter pathway. I had stumbled along this when I was 7 and was exploring, Matthew followed me looking so confused, the pathway gradually turned into like steps leading up down under. When we finally reach the end I heard his gasp, there in front of us was a pool, it's light was coming from under the water where there was a cave entrance and from the gaps in the cave above, the water was clear as always, I walk towards a small rock and lift it up and smile seeing my box is still here, after so many years the memory still lives on. "Lydia, this is magical" Matthew breathes out,

"I know, I came here to calm down when I was little,"

"When did you find this place?"

"Around the time I was 7, I would always go swimming and sit at the bottom and try to hold by breath, I really am not kidding when I say it took my breath away," I smile at him, he smiled back I went back over to him and hugged him sensing that he was surprised, I then reach my hand under his shirt and lift it up revealing his 6 pack, I toss the shirt a side and lean into his face, I heard his breath hitch and then just about my lips touched his..... I pushed him back into the water, he was so surprised, the expression he made was priceless. He splashed in and as he comes back up to the surface I take a tee-shirt and shorts off and jump into the water. Giggling as I come back up to the surface I feel a pair of strong arms wrap around and turn me towards my captive. I wrap my legs around him and stare deep into his beautiful emerald green eyes, then he leans up and kisses me. I hitch a breath but end up just melting into the kiss, tasting the sea on his lips, slightly pulling back to catch my breath, I could see he wanted more, I giggle and flung back and dived into the water, I sunk down to the bottom and look up seeing him look down and used my hand to gesture for him to come down, he swam down to the where I was sitting underwater and I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed, right there under the water, as I kissed him I could sense that he was running out of air, I took him by surprise and gave him a breathe of air, it was like the breath of life. We went up and floated on the water for a while, eventually it was getting dark so we made our way up, as soon as we left behind the rock the heat hit us like a slap making us immediately dry.

His P.O.V

It was by far the best day of my life, once I found her the rest was like a fairy-tale. She was giving off an aura of happiness, I so desperately wanted to ask her what happened but was afraid it would ruin her mood. Going down to that underwater cave was breath-taking, when she was swimming she looked like a dolphin, free to do anything she wanted. She started to strip down into her bikini, do girls always wear their bikini's here? I wonder and then out of nowhere she jumped and dived into the water so gracefully, she come up for air and smirks at me motioning me to join her, I did so gladly. We swam and around and "played" with each other. There are no words in the whole universe that could describe the feeling of the kiss, there were no words that could describe the feeling I had when I looked at her, there were no words I could use to make her like me the way I liked her. As we walked, I tried to muster the courage to ask what happened between her and that boy and who was he? She led me to a tree and when I thought I couldn't be shocked even more there is was, a tree house just sitting there in the tree, it wasn't big just about the size of a room, she led me up the stairs and inside was filled with pillows and plushies, she led me to one of the mats and I could tell she wanted to cuddle, so I lay down with and she buried her head into my chest, "today was really fun, thank you, and I really mean it" she said smiling at me " no problem" I reply, ok this was it, you can do it I say to myself " Who was he? The boys that Anna was hugging I mean" she looks at me the smile dropping from her face, "If you must know I will have to tell you the story from the start" she replied, sighed and started to talk.
