Chapter 4

Her P.O.V

Then we're flying over the sea and I feel relief, I'm back home, on my island, we arrive in Nassau ,around midday then take a big van to the house we have rented out and it is massive, I end up sharing the master bedroom with Anna. The backyard has an infinity pool and then there are stairs down to the beach. I quickly jump into the shower and wash my hair and get changed into a maxi dress with a colourful print and then stick a fresh flower in my wet hair which would soon be dry, and I leave the others because most of them are asleep because of jetlag and head out to the market because there is absolutely no food in the house. Today is Saturday which means the markets are full of people, I breathe in the smell and I am so happy to be home. I buy fresh produce, fruit, vegetables, then I go to my favourite store in the whole market, the fish store, this is not your typical stinky fish store there are these massive tanks filled with live fish, you can either swim and get your own fish or get someone to do it for you, I ask for a blue cod and it is absolutely gigantic, they gut it then wash it down and wrap it in an ice bag then in brown paper, if they didn't put it in an ice bag it would be cooked by the time you get home. I go home and put all the food in the big fridge, put my bikini on under my dress and since everyone's still asleep I go back out and head down more towards the beach and walk around to the very end of the beach where no one goes and I see the hammock swaying there, after all these years it's still there, I smile and walk over, take my dress off and stand there in my bikini and run towards the sea, I hit the water in a dive, and laugh, the first proper laugh I've had in a while, I dive down to the bottom and sea a huge conch shell, it's even bigger than the one I have at home! I come up to the surface for air and see someone standing on the beach, a tanned skin boy, with brown hair with blonde hairs running through it, with a smirk on his face, I smile invitingly, he takes his top of and put it beside by mv dress and come beside me in the water, I stare at him and his beautiful sky blue eyes, I sometimes doubt if I made the right choice one year ago and those were one of those moments.

"Hey,"

"Hey."

"You didn't call me."

"I didn't need to, you knew I was going come here."

He smiles "Where are u staying?"

"In a house a bit up the coast" I reply, he wrapped his hands around my body and smiles and lifts me up, I giggle, we stay in our embrace for a while before we get out of the water and sit in the hammock to dry off and end up having a little nap. When we wake up the sun was setting, and it was the colour of fire, we walk back along the beach, and we arrive at the house and hugs and I kiss him on the cheek and whisper "See you tomorrow". He lets go and I look up and think I saw a ripple in the curtains. I go into house and go straight living room which opens out onto the infinity pool where everyone is swimming or sunbathing, I smile and head to the kitchen and see no made a start on dinner, so I start on a simple dinner, fish & a Mediterranean salad. I take the blue cod out and get a knife and start filleting it, Anna comes in and starts helping with the vegetables, after 10 minutes I have two perfectly filleted blue cod fillets, I then cut them into smaller pieces and parcel them up with lemon with parchment paper then put them in the oven, and help with cooking some of the vegetables, then put them all into one big salad bowl, take the fish out and it's cooked perfectly while I put them onto plates Anna tells everyone dinner is ready, and everyone starts grabbing food, we make small talk and I got compliments on the food. I finally found out what the red head's name was, Sarah. She was bragging how she could make a far better dinner, and then Anna said then why didn't you make it then and then she shut up. Matthew stared at me warily all through dinner.

His P.O.V

She cooked dinner and it was absolutely delicious but I still couldn't get her and that boy out of my head, who was he? What relationship did he have with her? One after the other the question surfaced. After dinner we all went to the living room to play a movie, mid-way through, Sarah and Cameron left the room and everyone exchanged looks, we heard them go up and a closing of a door. I stare at Lydia, wondering but quickly looked away, scolding myself for thinking that, I needed to find out who that boy was and what connection he had with her. We finished the movie and Jerry decided to wash up, most people went to their rooms to go sleep, I walked up the stairs and heard Lydia talking on the phone to someone when Anna said she had to sleep, so told her to shut up, and I heard her walking towards the door, I quickly walked away towards my door and just as she come out the door I turned around to close my door. I heard her walk downstairs while chatting on her phone then I heard her laugh. I shower down and go to bed and fall asleep into a deep, deep sombre...
