Her P.O.V
I stared at him, he had just asked me on a date, after all of that he still thought of me as a nice person, how? I was stunned and forgot about the question, "y-yes, I would love to" I reply, his smile could light up the whole of New York because it was so big. We sat in the tree house in the while and watched the sun set on the horizon. "We should probably be getting back" he says, I smile, we get up and make our way down from the tree house back down to solid ground. We biked back to the house, by the time we got there it was midnight and all the houses lights were off. We crept inside, I looked at my bedroom door, I peered in, empty. I packed my stuff up and moved to another room, there was no way I was going to stay in the same room as her. I took the spare room with the balcony facing the sea, I got into bed, and opened my laptop; 20 Notifications, the screen read, I looked at them, all from an anonymous account. They were all photos of Anna and Jack, I blocked the user in anger and went to bed. The next morning I woke up to the sounds of everyone's voices, suddenly I feel another body on my bed and sit up, Grace was sitting there, she was another girl on the trip, "Hey, you have to get ready for the festival, remember?" she says, I sat there horrified, I had totally forgotten, "yeah, I'll be ready soon" I say nervously. "Ok" she leaves the room and I start panicking, I had totally forgotten to get a dress, I looked at the time;8:30am, good, I have time to go back home and get a dress from the attic, I thought to myself as I pulled an oversized tee-shirt on with shorts, slipped on a pair of low cut Converse, grabbed my phone and wallet and went down stairs, everyone was looking really happy, of course Anna was nowhere to be seen, "I'm going out, be back in a bit" I yell as I head out the door. I grab the bike and pedalled as fast as I could back to my old house. I ended up at the front door breathless, my aunt opened the door and invited me in. I explained that I needed to go through my old boxes to look for a dress, she told me go straight up, I went up the stairs, it had been so long since I had been here. I opened the the attic door and was welcomed by the smell of dust. I walked deeper into the attic and found the boxes marking L and found the box marked dresses. I slowed opened it up, greeting by a familiar smell of sea salt. I smile as I pull out the dress I was looking for, this dress held a lot of good and bad memories, I put the box away and walked back down the stairs. My aunt just waited at the bottom of the stairs and stared at the dress I brought back down, in her eyes she was looking surprised, "Really, that one?" she questioned me, I smile, she sighs and goes to get a dress box from the cupboard, she has a lot lying around because she's a seamstress which means she alters dresses for people. She comes back with a big box with tissue in it, I place the dress carefully in, thank her and leave the house, carefully placing the box in the bicycle's basket.
