It felt like we had been driving around forever when Kian turned down onto a whiny road that went back and forth leading down to an isolated area. The area was surround by nothing, but all meadow looking grass.

As Kian drove through the parking lot, I noticed a wooden fence in front of the first row of parking and two light poles on either side of a little opening in the tall grass that looked like a pathway to somewhere.

"Kian, where are we?" I asked concerned as Kian parked next to the light poles near the opening path. This wasn't part of the plan we talked about.

I have no idea what his personal plan was.

Kian shut off his car and looked at me.

"You'll see." He smiled, then got out of the car, but I was hesitant, "Come on." He nodded gesturing for me to get out of his car. I stared at him for a second unsure what to do, but sighed opening the passenger door and stepped out of the car, shutting the door behind me. I cautiously walked around the back of the car to Kian, my heart beating a little faster and my eyes glanced around.

I glanced back at Kian who already had taken my hands into his and was smiling at me once again. I didn't smile back. I was too distracted by not knowing where we were and not knowing what was going on.

"Hey," Kian called getting my attention back. My eyes had a worried puppy dog looked in them, making him chuckle a little before saying, "Don't worry. You're gonna love this. Trust me." He assured me, then lead me toward the pathway...

We walked for about half a mile before Kian turned around facing me.

"Close your eyes." He softly whispered. I hesitated one again, "Just trust me." He repeated from earlier. I sighed, nodded, then closed my eyes and let Kian guide me through the large bushes as we continued walking the path.

I heard the bushes ruffle as we went through them, then I felt my feet sink into the ground like I was walking on soft soil. This feeling continued as we walked a bit farther before the ground dropped a little, feeling a rough sharp texture under my feet I let heard the sound of waves in the distance. A gush of wind hit my face as I felt my foot get caught on something. My body fell forward, but Kian caught me in his arms and swung me around.

"You OK?" Kian asked putting me back on the sinking ground.

"Can I open my eyes now?" I replied getting a little sick of his games. He chuckled out I guess and I immediately opened my eyes seeing him standing directly in front of me with a cute smile on his face. Behind him was a bunch of rocks leading downward on a mini hill surrounded by sand. I could see the top of the bushes we went through from where we were, "Kian-"

"Turn around." Kian said cutting me off from I was saying. I sighed rolling my eyes.

"Kian-" I began again as I turned around, then stopped in my tracks seeing the site in front of me.

It was a beautiful excluded beach spot where the bonfire already set up, the wood built into TP with little rocks surrounding it to keep the ashes together and a folded strapped blue blanket next to it. The moon was reflecting on the ocean in the distance as it also lit up area. There was a mountain of sand excluding us off from the rest of the beach.

"Kian!" I asked exclaimed, then looked back at him with a smile piercing through my lips, "I love it." I added. He grinned at me, then took my hand into his once more.

"I knew you would." He replied, then pulled me along with him toward the bonfire. He pulled the folded blanket off the ground and spread it out on the sand before gesturing me to sit down. I sat down as Kian kneeled in front of the bonfire and used the matches he had left there earlier to light the fire. Once the wood caught fire, he scooted backwards and sat next to me. I glanced at him and noticed he was staring at me.

"What?" I asked whispering. trying to hide my goofy smile.

"Nothing." He replied, then put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him. I rested my head on his shoulder and snuggled into his neck, my hands wrapped around my waist as if I was hugging myself. Kian started playing some soft guitar music on his phone.  I giggled when the first song played, then looked up at him.

"I love this song." I said to Kian as the intro to 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran  started to play.

"I know." He replied, then took his arm away and quickly stood up. I looked up at him as he reached out for my hand, "Dance with me." He demanded. I smiled through my lips and reached up taking his hand. He immediately pulled me up to my feet and we started slowly dancing to the song. Kian spun me around every now and then as we danced together laughing.

Everything was perfect.

And I felt safe for once.
