Chapter 1: The Bicycle Law
"Do you want to cycle around the neighbourhood?" Meghan's father asked. She got up. "Yes please!" Meghan answered. She put on her shoes and unlocked the bike. Meghan took a deep breath, and took off. She saw black cars, that kept track of suspicious activities around Meghan's Neighbourhood. Wind blowed her hair, causing it to be all over her face. She then bumped in to a street sign. "Oh my God, are you okay?!" asked Meghan's neighbour.Meghan nodded. "Ride safely, okay?"
Meghan turned red in the face. She rode back to her house and locked the bike. She went up her bedroom and wrote in her diary:
Dear Diary,
Today I bumped into a street sign. I was humiliated. I don't feel like cycling around the neighbourhood again.

She wrote a short entry. That night, she ate dinner. "Mom, why is cycling around the neighbourhood illegal?"
"I don't know sweetie," her mother answered. Meghan went to bed early. She dreamt about getting caught for riding a bicycle
