There's No Point In Waking Up.

Eliza's Perspective:
Darkness. That's all I see. I can't move, I can't speak, I can't do anything.
There is no way it'd be possible to even open my eyes.

Why should I have to?
Why should I bother?
It's not like there's someone waiting for me to wake up.
I've been through enough.
Maybe it's my time to d--

Wait.
I hear someone.
Their footsteps clicked against the floor and stopped.

"How long has she been out?"
"Almost a month now."
"What happened?"
"She ran into the road and a car hit her."
"Was she on drugs? There's no way she'd just run into the street like that."
"When we tested her, 0% of drugs or alcohol were found in her system. She was clean."
"Maybe she was possessed."
"Hahahahah, no paranormal activity in the body wasn't found either. We even had a priest come in."
"What did he do?"
"He did something to see if she was possessed, maybe used a spell or a saying, and he was stunned by something inside of her. No one knows except for him and some boy he says he's been talking to."
"Who's the boy?"
"Some kid named Dean -- ----" I tuned them out for a second.
Dean.
He's around somewhere.
I hope Emily is okay.
"The priest said that Dean had told him that not only is he here for her, but for another patient, too. A girl named...Ugh, what was it again? Oh yes, Emily..."
No. 'Effing. Way.
No no no no no no.
When I left, Emily was in tears, not on the verge of dying.
What happened when I left?
"Why is Emily in the hospital?"
"She tried to overdose. Suicide attempt."

Emily. No.
How---Why? Emily was being comforted by her mother when I left...
Wait... I've been in the hospital for almost a month. What could've happened within those past weeks?

"Hey."
That voice.
"Eliza, are you okay? This is the 4th time I've stopped by. Come on. Answer me."
Dean...
"What do you want?"
"Well... someone's in a b*tchy mood."
"Haha. Very funny. Dude I'm stuck in a dark area and I can't escape. I can hear and think things. But I can't see, nor speak, right now."
"You're dead."
"Excuse me?! I'm what?"
"I'm just joking. You are half dead. The hit from that car was pretty bad, though. And to make matters worse, if you died right then and there, it'd mean that I've failed my job as your Guardian."
"So...can I become alive now or what?"
"It's not that simple. I mean.... there's a bit of a problem you'll need to fix in order to be alive and healthy again."
"What the----dude, speak in English, please."
"You need to become an Angel and find Emily. Lead her back to her body."
"What do you mean?"
"When Emily tried to kill herself, it wasn't your fault. It was my mom's. She said something about how Emily was the one who made you run away and get hit. She believed it. Emily felt horrible about not just explaining herself. I tried to get her to notice that I was there, but I guess only people like you can see me. So Emily tried Suicide. But it didn't fully kill her. She's just lost. Emily is now just a wandering soul. You need to find her."
"I'm telling you right now, it's hard to be a teen with red eyes and still have to attend school and live a normal life with people like you around."

"You'll be ready to go in no time, but if you don't find her, she'll be half dead and so will you until you find her."
"Fine. I'm ready."

"Just.
Find
Emily."

Author:
Hey! So, as you all know, the end of America is in 2 days. The election either way kills our country. Either person will be assassinated, and cause a war. Which sucks.
And I have a cold as I'm writing this, too.
Have a great day, tho.
