If only Emily could see me now...

💀💀💀
Dean's Perspective:

"Tell me something.." Eliza said, looking down at the pond, hair blowing in the wind.

"What's up?"

"Where is your house? Do you remember it?"

My mouth hung open in shock from her question. "W-what?" I ask.
"Your house. From when you were alive. Where is it? If it's nearby, I'll take you up there and we'll go see Emily..."

"Are you serious right now?" Eliza nods.
"1137 Estherwood Drive."
Eliza stands up and points towards down the road to the west. "That way. I've passed by that area so many times before."
I stared at her for a second. Is she really serious about taking me to see Emily?
"Well then, are you coming or not?" She asked picking up her bags.
Eliza began to walk down the street. I jogged after her. I put my wings away and walked along next to her...

💀💀💀

Here we are. 1137 Estherwood Drive. Oh my gosh. My mom's car is still in the driveway. Grandmother's old shovel is still leaning against the mailbox.
Eliza began to walk up the few steps to my front door. She knocked on the door 4 times.
The door slowly opened and there she was.
Emily.

"Excuse me? May I help you?" Emily asked, she placed her hand on her hip and held the door slightly open with her other hand. When I died, Emily had turned 14 this year. And since I died at 17, she's 3 years younger than I am.
"Did you have a brother named Dean by any chance?"
Emily's face went pale. A small frown appeared on her face. "He killed himself 7 months ago. 8 months as of Monday." Emily looked as if she was about to cry. Tears weld up in her eyes.

"Oh." Eliza answered and looked over at me.

She sighed. Emily can't see me. Only Eliza can.
"I always called him an old grandfather. He would always tell me about times when he was my age. But he always took care of me. Even the nights when mom and dad worked late shifts. H-he never put me down. He was always there for me. He'd never leave my room at night before making sure t-that I was safe and sound, fast asleep. Dean's dead. HE'S DEAD AND I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE!" Emily burst into tears and dropped to the floor.

"What's going on? Who's at the door?"
Mom.
She emerged at the door and knelt down to the ground and cradled Emily.
My mother looked up at Eliza.
"Who are you? And how do you know Dean?"
"I-I am so sorry. I have to go..." Eliza stuttered and took off running down the street. Before I knew it, she was gone.

Emily is still crying. But... I need to catch up with Eliza.
"I love you, Emily. Don't ever think that I'm gone." I said.

"Mom, did you hear that?" Emily asked, sniffling back her tears.

"Hear what?"

I turned my head and began to walk in the direction of Eliza's house. I hope Emily will be okay...Please. Be okay.

Author: Heyo! I'm seriously trying on this book. I legit have some crazy sh*t going on in my life. And it's a bit having to do with the fact that I'm the only kid in my family who'll be taking a college class at 14 in freshman year next year in the fall. Yes, I did make that choice. But the support from my family kinda sets me back a bit. And the stress of trying to have good grades. But it's life...
And I saw 55 reads on this book, too. Thanks, loves!
