Her introduction

Hi I'm Brooklyn this is my journal
It's my birthday today but nobody knows it.

I'm in a orphanage it's quite lonely. I'll see other kids leaving and Im one of the only kids left there is me this boy and this girl they don't talk a lot so it ends up with me talking to the staff that feeds us.

she is really nice she usually stays to talk to me and play.... We have a playground but it's broken so we can't even play on it.

the only thing I can really do is write in this journal... Why don't I tell you why I'm here I mean we will talk a lot so why not....

It all started June 1st 2024 that was the worst day of my life.

When I got home after school I went up to my room like usual.... After 30 minutes I went downstairs for a snack and that's when I noticed there was a note...

It said "To Brooklyn: honey I'm sorry but we had to leave.... Trust me I don't want to but I have to for your safety you can call this number they will help you fine a new home.... I won't be coming back I'm sorry baby but I had to leave.... I will miss you a lot I will watch you from afar it's better if you don't remember me so please try to forget me I love you

at that moment I started to cry maybe even sob I was only 10 at the time so it was devastating because she was my only parent....I took all the pictures of her so I wouldn't forget I'm sorry but I loved her and I didn't want to ever forget her.

I kept looking for her but I saw no one that was like her.... She said she'd be watching but from where? Two months after the incident I had to leave, so I called the number on the note and ever since then I've lived here I can't leave I can't even go outside the shelter!
