A short modern Hiccelsa oneshotWarning: Have tissues with you before reading this if you are going to cry.
Just a friendly warning.
Heed it.
"You did it..."
Love... Wow... What a word, what a strange, beautiful, and powerful word, that can be truly defined only by the single heart that its under. Love can move mountains and bring people together. Love is a battle field that you can't outrun. Love can fill your life with colour and passion and can be and fill your wildest dreams. Love is a feeling, an instinct, and I never thought that I would say this but...
Love sucks.
I know I know, you guys are probably saying, "Hiccup! How could you say that?! Love is the best thing that could happen to anyone!" I'm not gonna lie, it is... But... I don't believe in that. Not anymore. Now, you guys are also probably thinking again, "Why would you say that when you have the best girl in the world in your life?" Well, news flash people, I don't anymore. She's gone, she left me. Left me on this barren grey earth to live without her in my life.
When you've held onto something that close and dear, was your whole world--that you'd even turn the tables of time to just see that person again, would buy all the diamonds and rigs--you name it--in the world just to make their day better, cross the seas to save that person... And they just tear themself away from you, it feels like your heart is torn out of your chest. Your whole body doesn't want to work anymore.
Thats why I think love sucks.
And I'll tell you why...
"Hey Hiccup?"
"Yes?"
"Would you like to spend the day with me?"
It was a sunny day in my little town in California where I was spending time with Elsa in her room, lying down on her bed as we spooned. It was a warm sunny day, and the sun shone through Elsa's window, creating a comfortable warmth that made me want to sleep right there with her, but I could see that she had other plans after she asked that.
Chuckling I leaned my head down to kiss the top of Elsa's head tenderly, making her giggle as I replied, "Aren't I now?" She turned over and gave me a light playful slap on my chest as I laughed.
"Hiccup, be serious." She chuckled out, and I mumbled an "Okay, okay..." after.
"How could I refuse? I'd love to spend the day with you, thats why I'm here, but I thought you were still-" Elsa shook her head, stopping me mid sentence.
"No, I'm feeling great today. Its just a silly flu, I'm feeling a whole lot better. I have for the past few days." She said easily.
She did look better, I noted, not the miserable Elsa that was around for the past while, even if she tried her best to seem cheerful, I knew she wasn't feeling her greatest. I couldn't blame her, it's the flu, everybody hates it.
But... When most people get better after a week or two, she was under its clutches for an entire month. She went to the hospital, tried to see what was up, and they gave her meds to try and battle it. It was a bit suspicious to me, but... Hey, I'm not an expert. If she says she's fine, then I'm fine.
