Its been days and Arexlan is still not waking up. I am waiting for something to happen. He can't be unconscious forever... Something is wrong.

Yesterday I called Berjk. He told me that the other dragons haven't woken up yet.

I feel so useless. I can't do anything. Just wait and wait and wait.

Maybe I should go after Zolton Gubnil... or whatever he is. That dream the one night was very strange. I have a feeling that we are dealing with something more than a long thought dead court wizard.

I wonder why everything that has happened happened to me. Why me?

As I look to Arexlan laying on the bed I recall memories of ... us. For a longer time I have had the feeling that this between us is something special.

I feel sorry for Arexlan... because of what has happened. He waited hundreds of years and I had no idea about everything. I somehow don't have a memory that the time after the incident lasted for many hundreds of years. For me it felt like... 10 years...

But why didn't I notice... it? We don't age but we have to regularly shapeshift in order to beware our immortality.

That's why I had these strange dreams about being an animal. Now that I think about it... they weren't actually dreams...

Syrio enters through the door.

"Are you alright, Elarayne? You have been quite the while inside this room."

I say nothing just staring at Arexlan.

"Elarayne?", Syrio asks me.

"Wait. Come here.", I demand.

Syrio walks up to the bed. He is very confused.

"What is it-"

"See that there? Green scales. Those are the scales from Arexlan's dragon form."

"What? I don't understand."

"It happened to me once too. When we were in the High Mountains. Zolton Gubnil attacked me through a ritual which he was performing very far away. I was in terrible pain. His goal was it to possess me in my dragon form. I mean the Drevoks goal. The ritual was stopped and the forced transformation stopped. Arexlan explained it to me after a while."

"I didn't know that. But why isn't Arexlan in pain?"

"I have no idea. He seems to be in a sort of trance like condition. The other dragons may also be in gravely danger. This is very serious. We have to stop Zolton Gubnil."

I look at Arexlans scales which spread faster with each passing minute. His body begins to grow slowly while transforming.

"We're running out of time. Syrio, talk with Berjk. If the other dragons are in the same situation as Arexlan then send reliable fighters who will follow me."

"Understood. What will you do?"

"Zolton Gubnil was last seen in Metaori Fhaly, right? I will be heading in that direction. Send the fighters in that direction if needed. It's time to end this for once and for all."

Syrios POV

Elarayne stands up and walks up to the window. Then she jumps out and transforms into a bird and flies away.

I head to the ancient library. I contact Berjk with the crystal ball.

"Hello Berjk. How are the dragons?"

"Today... they... are... different... They... have... weird... things... on... their... skin..."

That's all the information I need.

"Thank you, Berjk, for your help. We appreciate it."

I end the communication and exit the ancient library. Now I have to send reliable fighters.

I tell Sonalis that I will head out of the the Palace of Wisdom. I must go to a camp near the city. Aurora and her men are there.

"Good afternoon, Aurora."

"Hello, Syrio? What brings you here?"

"The dragons are in gravely danger and Elarayne left to defeat Zolton Gubnil. She will need backup and your men are the best fighters that I know."

"Where is she heading?"

"She is heading towards Metaori Fhaly."

"Alright. Hey everybody listen! It's time to kick Zolton Gubnils ass!", Aurora says to her men.

Everybody is cheering and they get ready to leave. It will be a long way.

I pray that everything will be alright.

Arexlans POV

It's dark. It's empty. It's quiet.

I am lost in the endless space of nothing. Am I dead? Is this how death feels like?

I feel no wind, no sun, no warmth, no air, no ground, just nothing.

But my heart is beating loudly. It's the only thing I hear. Its sound is echoing through the endless space. I can't be dead. Not yet.

I feel something... an ache in my feet. I move them and with every move I feel more. Slowly I can see my body.

I look down onto my feet and see huge claws and green scales. It appears to me that I am in my dragon form.

I don't understand. I didn't transform myself. Why didn't I transform myself?

Now I remember: Zolton Gubnil. I didn't transform in order to prevent his plans. It's a dangerous time to be in my dragon form.

I must transform into something else. Just anything.

But it's not working. It doesn't matter how hard I try it isn't working!

Suddenly I spot something in the dark. Light. But not bright light but flames. Two spots of flames dancing in the dark and lightening its surroundings.

I take a few steps towards it. The flames get bigger and bigger. I get closer. The flames get closer.

Now I am so close to the flames that I could touch them. But the flames' light shows me a head. A dragon head.

The two flames are eyes... of Fyrianne.

"Fyrianne?", I ask and my sound echoes through the space.

"Where are we?", Fyrianne asks me and her voice is echoing as well.

"I don't know."

Suddenly I hear footsteps of claws touching the floor.

Pure white eyes approach me: Orraikles.

From the other side sturdy brown eyes come closer to me: It's Earthiean.

More colours come with each passing second until I am surrounded by my fellow dragons.

Everyone is here expect Elarayne. I hope it is a good thing that she isn't here. This place isn't normal.

An evil laugh echoes through the endless space until a deep voice speaks aloud:

"Now... who will become my vessel?"
