It's been quite a while since we left our mountain. And thus I don't feel homesick. Every place has become my home.

I can't believe it's been 40115 years already. Many creatures have their own way of counting the years but none of them truly know the truth. How could they? For us it's easier to count because we have roamed our world since it's creation. I have seen creatures die of the cause of age. I expected that we dragons would meet the same fate. But I was wrong.

We haven't been aging the slightest bit. It seems that we are immortal. Orraikles prefers to say that we are bound to this world. Meaning that when this world ends, we will meet our end too. When will that be, I wonder?

But for now we enjoy life and discover every corner of this world.

We have already learnt that there are many continents which are separated by oceans.

Until now we have discovered 4 continents. But we believe there are more.

We did learn something very conspicuous: On every continent there are elves. Those are creatures with long ears who walk on two feet and have no fur or scales but just skin. From their bodies they look similar to some other beings but yet different. Elves stand straight instead of crawling on all fours. I wonder if they were there since the day of creation or if they evolved from other beings?

They have magical powers. That's unique. We haven't discovered anything similar to that on other creatures.

Even if elves are on every continent so far, each time they are different.

They look the same but they have different cultures. They live differently. On our home continent the elves lived in the mountains while the elves on the second continent lived by the sea. Curious, isn't it?

They seem to adapt to their environment. They aren't bound to an element.

It's the year 70564. We are on our way to the 7th continent. This time we are travelling with a boat.

"It's a ship, Elarayne."

"I know that, Arexlan."

~~~
We gave the humans our ships. I somehow don't like how they took them. They seem to be filled with... greed.
After a long discussion with Orraikles we agreed to stay here for a while before moving on. I would like to inspect the humans.
~~~

We have been living among the humans for some centuries now. They seem to have a rather short life span. The average lifespan of a human is 75 years. Some die early but others reach 100 years. But that case is very rare.

Their society has evolved since the time we gave them our ships. They started rebuilding the ships. That's how they built a large fleet. But they haven't been sailing too far away.

But about the society: once they were beings living in small groups and simple huts. They were farming only so much as they needed. But today they live in large stone houses and the small villages have turned into vibrant cities.

Some have risen amongst them who call themselves kings and queens. With them the drastic difference between rich and poor came into being. There are buildings reaching high into the sky. On the top of the so called churches a symbol of their religion stands. Of course their religion is false because we haven't enlightened them about the truth of our world.

There are specific reasons why we didn't do that. We have stayed with the humans for so long because we want to inspect the true nature of them. Until now we have come to the conclusion that humans are beings of greed, cruelty and arrogance among themselves. The stronger ones live above the weaker ones. We have watched of something like that with other beings but this case is more drastic. The weaker humans don't have to be physically weak but their status in the society is so low that they are nothing.

We have discovered that the so called kings and queens kill for more land to rule over. Of course they don't kill personally but instead they let others do the dirty work for them. Telling them what honor it is to their city brings young men marching into their death. They call it war.

But we have the feeling that humans are their own destruction. Their powerful weapon exists to lead war amongst their own kind. It's ridiculous.

But there are good things about humans too. They have goodness in them as much as hope and love. No being can truly be evil. Even if it at first seems so.

Time passes so fast... We have been staying with the humans since 70564. And today it's the year 70870...

~~~
We have already spent too much time in one place. But now we have come to the conclusion that humans are not the Creators creation. They are not like the other creatures. Probably they have their origins from another world trying to spy on us.
We can't confirm it but to protect the creations of our Creator we decided to isolate them.
Earthiean has agreed to create mountains surrounding the living space of the humans.
"Are sure about this?", I ask him.
"Yes. It's our job to protect the Creators creations. Even if we must make sacrifices. Besides, we aren't killing them. We just... keep them away from other beings."
He transforms into his true form. He closes his eyes and concentrates on his surrounding.
A few seconds later we feel the earth rumbling beneath our feet. The ground arises and shoots high into the sky.
After the noise ends silence comes in. We are facing the massive earth which rises high into the sky.
"I created some spaces in these mountains. Summon the dwarves. Tell them they have a new home as a gift of the dragons. The only request we have is that they watch over the humans in the future.", Earthiean says with a steady voice.
"What name do these mountains have?", Arexlan asks him.
"As in this year, 70900, I give these mountains the name of the High Mountains."
