It's a strange feeling, being in a new form one is not familiar with. Feeling body parts that are different.
Time is running and I can perceive the ice melting. I hope my plan will work. If it doesn't, then I am clueless.
I familiarize myself with the abilities a Drevok has. I am able to form the mist in any possible shape. While I do that the black mist turns into red mist. Why that is so is a mystery to me.
Now to the first step of my plan: possess Arexlan. That one Drevok seems so obsessed with him. If there are many of them, then why did that one start everything? Is it the Alpha Drevok? Are there rankings among Drevoks? I do not know.
I focus on Arexlan so that I can possess him. I don't know how to do it but you learn through trying. Even if I don't have much time to try.
I must look stupid just standing around, no actually I'm floating, a Drevok has no feet. But I try to use my whole concentration in that one procedure. In the end, it works.
My body dissolves and gets really small. Then, for some moments I see nothing. The dark spaces I travel have pieces of green light guiding my way. I follow the emerald green lights. I wonder why the light is in the same color as Arexlans eyes?
I am now inside his head. A strange thought, actually. Being in someones head.
To be honest, I don't know what I am looking for. The lights have disappeared and it is dark again. I am standing in the endless space being lost.
Suddenly I hear chains. The sound gets louder with each passing second. I follow the sound.
As I get closer it gets clearer. There is something chained up. Trapped. I step closer and I can recognize a large creature. It has chains on every foot and its neck. It has its face facing down.
I recognize its eyes: it's Arexlan.
"Get out of my head!", he screams at me.
"Arexlan... It's alright. It's me, Elarayne."
He looks up at me.
"What? How-"
"Long story. Where is it?"
"It? Oh... you mean the Drevok. I don't know. He just comes and goes as it pleases. He keeps me trapped here, tortured me. Elarayne, he made me do terrible things."
"It's not your fault."
"You don't understand. He made me destroy cities, kill innocent people. I can't look at myself anymore."
"Arexlan..."
"Just leave me be! Run away! You can't defeat it!"
"I'm done with running.", I say with despair in my voice.
Suddenly a snake made of red mist appears from the darkness around us.
"Well, well, well... What do we have here? I was waiting for you, Elarayne."
I look at the Drevok who caused all of this suffering.
"Who would have thought that you would come to me? If you had transformed into your dragon form earlier I would've left this body. But this goes too. Now do me a favor and get rid of this copy of my kind.", the Drevok says.
"As if I would. I just need to kill you.", I answer.
"And how will you accomplish that? You don't understand any of this."
I don't waste my breath in answering him. Instead I shape my body in form of a hydra and attack the Drevok.
But it dodges my attack. The Drevok counterattacks me. It sticks its black claws in my head. But I fall into mist so that its attack is worthless.
I return back in shape and attack the Drevok. As I attempt to attack it, it holds my arm. It pulls me closer so that it can suck in my life energy. The Drevok is intensively using its eyes to drain my energy. The red in its eyes is glowing.
I try to free myself from its hold but my energy isn't enough. Instead, I have an idea. I concentrate, with the energy I have left, on the Drevok. I don't know if its possible to possess one of its own kind but it is worth of a try.
I get weaker and weaker but I won't give up. I concentrate on the red eyes. But the space around me gets black. Did I die? Or did I possess the Drevok?
I look at myself. I'm still in form of a Drevok. It worked! I thought I would die yet again. This gets stranger with each passing minute. First I die like a hundreds times and get reborn. Then I freeze everyone in my surrounding. Just a few minutes ago I was in Arexlans head. Now I am in the Drevoks head who is in Arexlans head? Crazy stuff.
I try to orientate around the black space. There is no light or any other sign that shows life in this area. Strange...
"I didn't expect that...", a male voice says. I don't know from where it comes.
But suddenly I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around and face the man.
He has got black hair which are short. I recognize that he has got red eyes but they have some black colors mixed in it. He is wearing black clothing with some red ornaments on it. So basically that man is only wearing the colors red and black. His expression is evil but at the same time relaxed. As I look at him at whole, one could think he is made from darkness itself.
"I thought I would defeat you there and thus take control of your mind. A sudden turn of events.", he continues.
I wonder if that is the Drevok? But surely he looks too different to be one.
"Who are you?", I ask.
"Please, I'm sure you know who I am. Otherwise you weren't here."
"The Drevok?"
"What? No. Why would I be one of my own pets? You have two more tries."
"An evil spirit?"
The man laughs: "Wrong again! You have one more try."
I need to think first before I answer. If he isn't a Drevok and he says those are his pets... He must be more powerful then them. I possessed Arexlan because I thought some kind of Alpha Drevok would be here. And I wasn't so wrong... it's just not a Drevok... It's the leader of them... But are Drevoks from this world? Or another? I think I got it.
"So? Did you decide?"
"Are you... the Creator of another world?"
