Chapter 4

Date: August 14, 1987

Michael's POV

So, the past three months have been pretty eventful Ive finished the album and its coming out on August 31st, which is in two and a half weeks.! Then, the tour starts two weeks after that, on September 12.! Im so excited.!

As for me and Shayne, we have gotten closer as the days go by I can honestly say that I like her but I know that she's just here to work and that's all Today, I was looking over some papers when I heard a voice come up behind me

Shayne:(Whispers) Did I scare you.?

Michael:(Laughs) Nope

(She laughed and came from behind me. She sat on my desk and crossed her legs.)

Michael: What's up, Shayne.?

Shayne: I wanted to show to show you the pictures from the photo shoot last week

(She handed me a manilla envelope. I took it out of her hands, opened it up, and pulled the pictures out. In all of the pictures, I had on a red button down, black pants, and my loafers. As I looked over them, I smiled. Shayne is an amazing photographer.)

Michael: Shayne, these are beautiful as always Good job

Shayne: Thank you

(I put the pictures back in the envelope and set it on the desk.)

Shayne: So, what were you doing before I came in.?

Michael: Just looking over these contracts (Shrugs) Nothing important

Shayne: Oh

(I continued to look over the papers but I could tell that Shayne had something to say.)

Michael: Yes, Shayne.?

Shayne: Are we just gonna ignore the fact that your birthday is coming up.?

Michael: Its just another day Im only turning 29

Shayne: Yeah and another year of life to be grateful for Come on.! Can we at least have a party or something.?

Michael: I don't have the time to plan a party.! My birthday is two days before the album comes out  Im gonna be all over the place

Shayne:(Pouts and crosses arms) Fine No party

(I got up and stood in front of her.)

Michael: I don't need a party I just need the people I love around me.......Like you

(She looked up at me and her mouth was hanging open slightly.)

Shayne: What.?

Michael:(Sighs) I like you Hell, I think I love you

Shayne: Michael,......I like you alot, I do Its just...... this isn't what I came here for

Michael: Well, have you ever thought maybe, there was more than one purpose of you being here.?

Shayne: Michael, I wanna go there with you but-

Michael: Then stop thinking about it Just............let go

(I moved closer to her so that we were basically chest to chest. I grabbed her arms and wrapped them around my neck. She was looking down so I lifted her chin with my finger.)

Michael: Want me to.?

(She nodded slowly and that was all the confirmation I needed. I leaned down and crashed my lips onto hers. I could tell that she hesitated at first, but then she pulled me closer and kissed back.

The kiss was.......sweet, yet passionate. It was basically everything Ive been dreaming of. I slowly pulled away, but not before pecking her lips one more time. When I looked at her, her cheeks were a deep red.)

Michael: You alright.?

Shayne: Yeah Im......

(She pushed me away, jumped down off the desk, and speed walked out of the room. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. I sat back down and picked up the papers. Im gonna let her cool down. She probably just needs to time to think.)

12:35am

(I finally left out of my office and walked into my room. I peeled off my clothes and changed into my blue silk pajamas. I climbed into the bed and was on my way to sleep when there was a knock on the door.)

Michael:(Groans) Come in

(I heard the door open and close. I heard footsteps walking towards my bed when they stopped and I felt someone looking at me. I peeked out from under the covers and saw Shayne standing there.)

Michael: Shayne.? What's the matter.?

Shayne:(Whispers) Could I maybe........sleep with you.?

Michael:(Nods) Yeah sure

(I peeled the covers back and moved over so that she could get in. She climbed in and pulled the cover over her. I made sure to leave enough space between us so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.)

Shayne: Michael.?

Michael: Yeah.?

Shayne: You don't have to be so far away

Michael: I just didn't want you to feel weird

Shayne:(Laughs) Come here

(She grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to her. She wrapped my arm around her waist and snuggled into me. Since Im alot taller than her, her face was in my chest.)

Michael: Are you ok.?

Shayne: Yep.....Oh and I didn't mean to just run out like that earlier

Michael:(Shushes her) We can talk about this tomorrow

Shayne: Alright Goodnight Michael

Michael: Goodnight Shayne
