Chapter 13

Date: December 25, 1987

Shayne's POV

I was sleeping in my bed next to Michael when I heard someone bust in my room, waking me up

Sage: Get up Shay.! It's Christmas.!

Shayne: Sage.! Why don't you go bug David and Scar.?

Sage: Your the easiest to wake up so I started with you

Shayne: Alright We'll be down in a few

(She nodded and walked out, closing the door behind her. I laid back down and looked at Michael, who was still sleeping peacefully.)

Shayne: Michael.? Baby, wake up

(He groaned and turned on his side so that he was facing me.)

Michael:(Sleepily) What.?

Shayne: It's Christmas morning baby

(I leaned over and kissed his nose. He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me closer to him so that we were face to face.)

Michael: Can I get a real kiss.?

(I rolled my eyes playfully and kissed him passionately. He pulled away and sighed.)

Michael: We have to go downstairs, huh.?

Shayne:(Nods) Yep Come on

(We got out of the bed and Michael grabbed his Fedora. He grabbed my hand and we walked out of my room and downstairs, into the living room. My parents, Sage, Scar, and David were already down there. Michael sat on the couch and I sat on the floor, in between his legs.)

Shawn: Alright Whose playing Santa this year.?

(We all looked around at each other.)

David: Well, since no one is gonna volunteer, I'll do it

(He walked over to the tree and started handing everyone presents. Michael even got some, which surprised him a lot.)

Michael: I wasn't expecting anything, you guys.!

Miranda: Just because you don't celebrate it doesn't mean we were gonna leave you in the cold

(We all laughed and finished opening our presents. All of a sudden, Scar and David stood up.)

Scarlet: Alright Everyone Me and David have an announcement

David: We are happy to announce that...... Scar is pregnant.!

(Me, Sage, and my mom ran up to her and literally tackled her in a hug. We stood back up and helped her up.)

Scarlet: Safe to say that you guys are excited, right.?

Miranda: Of course.!

Shawn: I'm so happy for you guys.!

(If you're wondering why we were so excited, Scar was actually pregnant before but she lost the baby after being in a car accident.)

Michael: Congratulations you two.!

(We cleaned up the wrapping paper and everyone went to get dressed. I put on a black and white striped sweater, black pants, and white boots. I went in my room and saw Michael sitting on the bed. He had on a black button down, red sweater, black pants, and his loafers.)

Shayne: Hey

Michael: Hey

(I walked over to him and stood in front of him.)

Michael: You wanna go for a walk.?

Shayne:(Smiles) Sure

(He grabbed my hand and led me out of my room. We walked downstairs and were about to walk out the door when we heard a voice.)

Miranda: And where do you two think your going.?

(I sighed heavily and turned around.)

Shayne: To be honest, me and Michael were kinda hoping to get some alone time

Michael:(Chuckles) We hope you don't mind

Miranda: Oh no.! Go ahead.! Dinner starts at 1

Shayne: We'll be back by then Mom

(Michael opened the door and we walked out of the house. He grabbed my hand and we walked down the street.)

Shayne: Are you having fun.?

Michael:(Nods) Yeah Your family's cool

Shayne: See, I told you that you had nothing to worry about

(He laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, bringing me closer to him.)

Michael: You know that I love you, right.?

Shayne: Of course I do

Michael: And that I'd never do anything to hurt you intentionally.?

Shayne: Yes...... Michael, is something going on.?

Michael: No I just...... wanted to make sure you know that

Shayne: I know Hey, I got you something

(He stopped walking and looked at me.)

Michael: I have something for you too

Shayne: You go first

(He smiled and reached in his pocket. He pulled out a small box. He opened it and I saw the most beautiful silver band. I gasped and looked at him.)

Shayne: Michael,....... it's beautiful

Michael: This is kinda like a promise ring Just to remind us of our commitment to each other

Shayne:(Smiles and bites lip) Do I have to put it on myself.?

(He took the ring out of the box and slipped it on my middle finger. He brought my hand up to his lips and kissed it.)

Shayne: Thank you I love it

(I pulled a box out of my pocket and handed it to him. He smirked and opened it. He opened the box and smiled cheekily. He pulled out a bobble head that was designed to look like a miniature version of him. On the plaque, it said "Merry Christmas Applehead.! I love you.! 1987". He looked up at me.)

Michael: Thank you Shay I love it

Shayne: There's something for you too, in the bottom

(He turned the bobble head upside down and opened the compartment on the bottom. He pulled out a bracelet with the word "Promise" on it. He looked up at me.)

Michael: I don't get it

(I raised up my sleeve and showed him my matching bracelet that had "Promise.?" on it.)

Shayne: It means that Im putting all of my trust in you

Michael:(Smiles) It's beautiful baby

(He put it on and did a pose showing it off. I laughed and grabbed his hands and held them.)

Shayne: Did you like your first Christmas.?

Michael: Loved it Especially since I was with you

Shayne:(Blushes) Has anyone ever told you that your so sweet.?

Michael: Couple of people have (Laughs) I love you

Shayne: I love you more

(He leaned down and kissed me passionately. I pulled away and he wrapped his arm around me and we continued on our walk. Best Christmas ever.!)
