It's like a flashback to the days when Father was still here. I couldn't see myself, only Lily and Father. Lily was in Father's arms. They were hugging tightly.

"Lil, I have to go to work now..." he said, pulling away from her.

Father's accent was very posh. That's where I got mine from.

"Dad! Please stay! We never spend time together anymore!"she cried.

"I'll be home soon." he smiled.

A tear fell from Lily's eye. She stomped off into her bedroom.

Father walked to his car and drove away. Everything was so eerily quiet. Father could sense something was wrong. That's when the car hit him.

There was blood everywhere. Pedestrians crowded around the car. A woman was blurting into the phone, in tears; probably calling 911. It was so overwhelming. All the people, all the blood...

but his face...

He looked so scared, yet calm. So hopeful, yet lifeless. So concerned about his family, but ready to leave us.

I woke and immediately sat up. I could hear Lily crying in the room across from me. I couldn't hold back anymore and burst into tears.

I missed Father so much. It broke my heart, seeing him like that. Lily and I never saw the scene, or the body. It was a grotesque sight to see those loving eyes, so dead.

Lily stepped into my bedroom quietly. Her eyes were bloodshot. Without a word, she climbed into bed with me, gripping me tightly as I sobbed into her chest.

I wondered why she was crying, but I didn't really care. I felt so secure and comforted with Lily.

"I... love... you." I said between deep breaths.

She held me closer. "I love you, too."
