'Hi my name is Mel' I reply cautiously
Even though I don't intend to be friends with her, I try to be nice-which I'm not very often.

She acts very independent throughout the lesson and wasn't much of a problem.

At break I catch up with my friend- Lucy.  We've been friends for years.
'Have you heard about the new girl?' I whisper as I crawl up to her.

"She has a name y'know" She replies as she hugs me.

"I sensed danger when I saw her" I say as we go to the canteen.

We sit in the center of the canteen.  Lucy get a veggie bowl while I get lamb chops.
When it comes to eating, Lucy is a veg fanatic- in fact she's a walking nutrition book.

"You know...for a girl, you have a really weird diet" I say twirling my headphones.

"You know for a girl who has an influential mother, you have the worst attitude" she replies crunching her veg. "Besides would you rather I eat animals or eat plants?"

Geez! I've been with her since as long as I can remember but that noise makes me cringe."Whatever! Not that I care what you eat but I hate that crunching noise so much"

We became friends when we were in primary. She tried to stick up for me when people said stuff about me. I always pushed her away because I felt it made me look weak, but Lucy was no quitter. She literally stuck to me like a leech and that's how we kind of became friends. Even though I shouted at her, insulted her or even embarrassed her she kept on coming back like a dummy.

She was always concerned about my well being even though I always treated her badly

She's always been a helper...putting other before herself.

We found out we had things in common. Like we loved hip - hop, hated pink, were freaked out about spiders, loved rubies, were into rides and so much more stuffs.

There was a time she got depressed due to family stuff. I also got depressed and had a hard time reaching out to people that was when our friendship was tested and it fortunately became stronger.

School time went by quick and before I knew it, I was home again. There's never any interesting thing occurring in town especially when I'm barred from going out of town.

Though an ultimate rule my house is to never go outside of town, I'm tempted to at this point in time. I feel like exploring just because Lucy isn't here and I'm pretty much a loner- not that I'm social enough to talk to other people.

It's kind of a case where people are scared of me- you'll get to understand why.

I tell Zang that I'm going for a stroll.

"Mummy! Please can I go out for a walk" I say trying to sugar-coat every word.

"Did you just call me mommy?" She exclaims

"Cause I'm pretty sure you only use that magic word when you need something" she says wriggling her eyebrows.

She hesitates but grudgingly let me go. I dress up in an all black ripped denim dress with a black choker and black diamond earring studs. Hate to brag buh I love ma bling.

As I head out, I sense someone lurking about.

I continue walking even though I'm worried. He suddenly jumped out of the woods- unexpectedly and very fiercely. I let out a piercing scream

"hi...I'm Xan. I didn't mean to scare you" he says offering a hand, even though he practically scared me.

I hesitate and slowly retrace my steps. He continues to slowly walk towards me.

"I'm not going to hurt you...trust me. I just want to be your friend"

"Excuse me please, you're really wierd" I utter very petrified when I recognize him as the new boy.

"Plus...for a first time encounter, isn't that too much to ask? I reply trying to stay as calm as possible.

My siblings come running . They're  both running fast and they literally appear at the same time.

"Hey! What's up, we heard you scream" Ben asks me conscious that a stranger was there.

"I just got freaked out by Dan" I reply trying not to sound too scared. "Besides how did you hear me scream and get here so quickly if you weren't stalking me?"

Ben is really angry because I can see his face going red.  I feel so stupid for screaming now.

My dominating sister steps in "well, we should head back home now. Or don't you think so Ez?"

My sister was one of the people who makes life hell for me. We have a bit of friction sometimes.

Although she's Asian, I didn't get why she didn't like me. She's tall and bony, her sleeve of tattoo traces from the small of her back to her arm forming a v-shaped pattern behind her back, her hair is bleached and tongue pierced. She's the mommy's girl and also the intimidating one, but deep down...she's just a 'sweethart'. I have to give it to her though - she's really pretty. She's done a few modelling jobs only because of connections she gets from my uncle but she's not really into that kind of stuff.

Argghhh...I just feel like ripping my hair now. I don't get why she always acts like she's the protector of the galaxy.

"Umm...actually, it's Xan not Dan" he say, cutting me off of my 5000th idea of how to murder my sister.

It doesn't take me long to realize that Dan and I are in between Ben  and Tanya

"I asked you a question" Ben says between his teeth.

I take this opportunity to act all terrifying- I guess I'm the kind of person who loves giving good first impressions.

"Ohhh...are you really going to take me home? I thought you were meant to be at that frat party tonight? Don't you have a party to get ready for? Last I checked your mummy has no clue where you're going. She thinks you're going library" I ask taking a step closer with each question.

I'm very aware that it has nothing to do with what he asked me.

Ooh...I just love that rush of hostily in my head-  it sends me to la la land.

I didn't noticed Tanya standing there really pissed.

"Cut it off you two...don't you think we should go now rather than make this young man uncomfortable?" Tanya says with a very wide smile.

I'll admit she young and really pretty but man do her  big smiles creep me out.

The only thing that makes me budge is the fact I don't intend to be around Dan for long- if not, they'd have literally had to carry me back home because I like to act defiant to them.
