I don't bother to argue with Tanya on the way back home. I just tag along irritated- she always treats me like a child. Always butting into my life.

"I had everything under control you know" I blurt amidst the chirping of birds.

She stops abruptly and takes a very intimidating stance "yeah right!".

When we get home I get a calm 30 minutes lecture about my attitude. I don't blame Zang but I feel like she's tooo protective.

A girl got to have some fun you know.

I grumpily walk up the stairs and eye the massive glass chandelier hanging idly.

A terrible idea comes into my head but I know it's the only thing that'll complete my awesome day.

"I....want to swing...from the chandelierr...from the chandelierrrr" I sing using my best sia impersonation.

I look beneath to see my whole housemates glaring at me.
For someone who's meant to be a rebel, I'm not living up to my expectations.

Zang looks so red right now. I actually feel like she's going to explode.

"Esmmerrrelllddaaaaaa!!!!" She screams balling her fists.

I see Leah shut her eyes tightly like she was expecting it - whimp.

I shake while tightly clutching the chandelier. I feel the chandelier wobble loose so i quickly let go before glasses smash into pieces and crash to the floor.

Being in martial classes give me the advantage of being alert and I'm able to jump unto the staircase railing.

"Can't a teenager get hormonal?" I say arching my shoulder and smiling.

Zang gives me a death stare. I climb back to the stairs preparing myself mentally for what was coming.

"Go to bed now! And apologise"

"You will also clean this mess tomorrow" she says between her teeth.

"Goodnight everyone, I'm sorry for the damage I caused" I say meekly before running to my room.

I know better and choose to go to bed peacefully.

I wake up the next morning with blood on my bed.

The chandelier glass got stuck in my leg. I stand up from the bed and yank it out- good thing I'm a bit tolerant when it comes to pain.

I shower and get dressed for school. I purposely tiptoed out of the house to avoid unwanted conversations.

I'm glad to see Lucy at the end of the street waiting for me.

"Felt like you'll need a ride" she grins sliding her index finger round the leather steering.

"Yeah, you have the best timing ever" I say getting in quickly.

"Nice ride...when did you get it?.
Cause I don't remember you owning a Lamborghini" I grin

"It was my nan's gift to me for getting an A on my Latin test" she replies casually.

I mean who gets a latest ride for acing a test?

"Well...she's so crazy about me learning the language- you know how it is with posh people and latin.
So she promised me the car. I'm always up for a new ride anytime" she says like she can read my mind.

"Besides why were you so desperate for a ride?" she asks while turning up the radio.

It immediately starts to play Chandelier by Sia.
