-Diamond's P.O.V- -Same Day-

My feet dragged heavily across the floor and I grabbed my bag and left the training room. My chest heaved heavily as I reminisced about the events I had finished as a part of my police officer academy training: 1 1/2 miles a day, 24 push-ups in one minute, 24 sit-ups in one minute, 3 vertical jumps until you hit the mark, a 300-meter dash in 75 seconds. I want some ice-cream... I walked wearily towards the dining hall of the college, weaving in and out of students who were in a rush to get to class.
As I reached the enormous room, a poof of sandy-colored hair caught my attention. As I got closer, I recognized the custom gold glasses and rushed over. "Jessieeeeeee." I dropped my body weight into the chair. "I'm so tired." I placed my things under the table. "I feel like I'm dying." She giggled as I fanned myself. The hell's she laughing at? I'm exhausted!
"Oh whatever shall I do? What am I going to do with you?" Her smile widened as she let out a small sigh and stood up.
"Bring an ice cream over please?" I smiled bright hoping she would show sympathy. Jessie laughed and pulled some money from my wallet, then her pocket.
"Mmhmm. Sounds good right about now but you're coming with me. Let's go." She walked towards the janky looking machines across the room. You could've just brought them over ya know. I sighed wearily before getting up and walking after her.
"So Jess," I caught up to her halfway across the hall. "How was class today?"
"Class was nice. We had an actual donation body in there. I touched it-" Dear God! I cringed as the words 'donation body' left her mouth.

 "Seriously Jess! That is disturbing."
"I know it is. That was the point in telling you." She filed the mix of chocolate and cheesecake and into the bowls and handed one to me. "I hope you enjoy your ice cream."
This woman is psychotic. "I hope you enjoy your ice cream too, Jess. It looks like-"
"Ok! OK! I'll stop." She interrupted laughing loudly.
"Good."
"By the way, I'll see at the apartment. I gotta go to class." She stuffed her face with ice cream.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you had class after this." I ate mines slowly. "By the way, how's it with you and Kiro?"
"We broke up. Sammy said he was at a bar attempting to flirt with her so I broke up with him. It wasn't really working out anyway but oh well."
"You don't know if that's true."
"Yeah I do." She began walking away. "He told me." Jessie grabbed her things and left the cafeteria without another word. She needs to slow down. She and these guys are moving way too fast. I also have the day off from the bar today which means: I can go home. I can relax, take a long hot bath, soak for the first time in forever. Its going to feel so good. I sighed. But I don't have time to think about this stuff now. Let's go to Mr.Cross class first. He has a new assignment in class, then straight home.
"I think I'll go now." After finishing my ice cream, I grabbed my things and entered the hallway. The halls are so empty. I'm sure Jess will find someone sooner or later. Someone to cherish. A smile formed small among my face and stayed there for a while. Maybe I will too... I wonder what he'll be like. I continued walking as my face glowed red and I plugged in my headphones. What should I listen to today? I scrolled through my playlist until I found one of my favorite songs by Sleeping With Sirens, then began singing with the music.
"Hubcaps and ashtrays,

I was born, but I wasn't raised.

 Big wheels, the black space

Tried my best, but it was in vain.

Hell is so close to heaven.

Hell is so close to heaven.

Hold on, don't look back.

You know we're better,

we're better than that.

Lost and thrown away.

You know we're better

we're better than that.

We are the strays

OOOOOOOOh

We are the strays-" I fell to the ground as I bumped into someone I'd never seen before. Who the hell is- I looked up and there was a man standing over me and my words were gone. His eyes are brown, and they're kinda cute from down here. He began picking up my books and I picked up my bag, then got off the floor. I got to carried away in the hallway... When he finally stood up I was at a lost for words.
"I'm so sorry I didn't see you there, I," he said handing me the last of my books, looking into my eyes. "They're beautiful." I couldn't seem to process what he said but I wasn't paying close attention anyway. I was distracted by him. Wow, he is cute.
