This has happened before where Mr. Taren try to overstep his boundaries. That old man is going to get himself killed. I sped out the lot going home. It only 5:00 I have 2 hours before my meeting with Diamond. I wonder what she is thinking now knowing where her father gets his tech.
Present - Diamend POV
"What the Fuck just happened?!? Jonathan just put my father in his place. He's the reason we're rich. I just don't believe it." I get up and call Jessie to come and pick me up.
"I can't believe he did that to me. Me! One of the most powerful men in the country. At least he gave me something to work with. Micheal take this to the labs for analyzing and mass produce." my father demands as he hands the flash drive to him.
"Don't it need to be checked for errors'" Micheal stated concerned as he took the flash drive and put it in his briefcase.
"There's no need Jonathan never makes mistakes."
"How can you be so sure that kid knows nothing. I bet I could--"
"Let me stop you right there. He makes no mistake. None. I have never seen him make a mistake on purpose in his life. The kid was a genius since birth and he's a natural born fighter. He was born to create and destroy. I would trust him with my life if it ever comes to it. He's a sincere and modest kid, but never and double cross him. You should anger him or he'll respond with fury. He's angry with me now but he'll get over it. This is not the first time he's done this." My father said grabbing the rest of his belongings. He seems to be unfazed by this. He's done a complete 180. He was just angry beyond belief and now he's calm as can be.
"Are you not going to react? He just went berserk on you and your fine with" I say rushing over to him.
"There's nothing to react to. He's my business partner we have to agree with everything and here we just didn't agree. I'll get what I really want from him without him knowing eventually. For now, I'll just have to live with what I got. Your mother and I are leaving for home. Don't forget your date." with that he rushed out.
"Guess it's just you and me," Micheal says getting closer to me. I turned away disgusted.
"Not a chance" I begin to walk away and he grabs my wrist and spins me around.
"You'll be mine soon enough," He says trying to kiss me. I push him back and slap him.
"Touch me again and I will beat worst than what Jonathan did. You won't be getting up from that." I leave furious and get in the car when Jessie pulls up.
"How did the meeting go?" she says beginning to drive off.
"Fine, just this boy was there and he put my father in his place. It was the strangest thing my father just rolled over and took it. Let's go home its been a long day" I say leaning back in the seat.
Timeskip 2 hours
The doorbell ring and I went and answered it."Who is it?"
"It's me, Jonathan, I got your address from your father. I'm here to discuss the project I'm helping you on." I totally forgot about my meeting with him. I open the door to find it in a blue tee and black jeans. He's tall with a build of a professional boxer. His brown eyes with hints of gold. This is the first time I've actually got a good look at him, and he's hotter than before. Wait, did I just call him hot. I'm getting ahead of myself.
"Come on in the table is right over there we can talk there."
"Thanks," we sit across from each other and silence takes over. "Sorry, I yelled on your old man. He has a way of getting under a person's skin with showing malice he's truly remarkable." He intrigues me he seems to know my father longer than me.
"How old are you?" I say wanting to know how long he has known my father.
"I'm 28. How about you?"
"I'm 23. How long did you know my father?"
"He was there when I was born my father and him are old war buddies. I was there when you were born."
"Really?!?"
"Yeah I used to play with you when you were younger but that was a long time ago. You don't remember but I do. Do you remember the promise you made me keep?"

"Seems like you don't. Not that I mind I mean who would you were only 7."
