Virginia ran home, smiling ear to ear. In her right hand, she held a brown paper sack. It was what was the package contained, which brought Virginia immense joy. Inside that package, held a pregnancy test, which read positive. Virginia was indeed, with child. She could hardly contain her excitement as she busy through the door. Expecting to see everyone looking at her, she was met with an empty room. An empty bed, with a paper note, lying on it.

"Dearest Virginia,

Joe and Josephine are at the farmers market, and George and I are at Brickly's Books and Bargains, we will be back at eve, to eat supper.

Sincerely,
Georginia."

Virginia sighed and looked around for something to occupy herself. The clock read 12:52 pm. James wouldn't be home until 6:30. She couldn't tell him yet.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a bag, from Brickly's Books and Bargains. She grabbed the bag and dumped out its contents. Inside, a black shiny camera, which took Polaroid pictures, also an empty photo album.

She smiled, but then dropped it because the bag was poorly hidden, must've been a surprise. She slowly pushed it back into position. Staring at the clock, she saw it read, 12:54 pm.

She sat on the lumpy bed, and before she knew it, someone was shaking her.

"Virginia honey, are you awake?" A kind voice said in a whisper. Virginia groaned.

Looking up at the voice, she saw her husband. George and Georgina sat in the brown chairs, eating bowls of cabbage soup. Joe and Josephine were removing their coats. Virginia smiled.

Suddenly she remembered. The test, the announcement. How to do it? She thought of something to say.

"James, what is in the bag by the fridge?" Virginia asked. James looked shocked.

"Well it was meant to be a surprise, but I guess now I have to tell you."

James walked over to the fridge and pulled from behind, the brown paper bag containing the camera and photo album.

"Here," He said warmly. "A gift for the woman who completes me." Virginia's heart filled with love for her dear husband. She opened the bag and saw the shiny camera and black album.

"Oh, James I love it!" She said happily, though she had already seen both, she acted surprised.

"Do you think I may go and try the camera out?" She asked. James chuckled.

"It is your camera after all." He replied. Virginia ran off into the bathroom with her camera, album, and test. Whipping out the shiny black Polaroid camera, she found a red button, for capturing the picture.

She held the test in one hand and smiled her biggest smile, as a tear rolled down her cheek. The camera produced a blinding light, and the picture came out from the bottom of the camera.

She placed the picture in the plastic slip and opened the bathroom door. The tear was still on her cheek. James noticed.

"Virginia, love, what has happened?" Virginia smiled a watery smile.

"Come see the picture." She spoke softly. James looked worried. Be walked toward her and took the outheld album.

He opened the page, looked inside, and stared at his wife.

"Virginia?" He practically whispered. "Are you pregnant?" He said, as his voice broke on the word pregnant.

Virginia's eyes watered as she nodded.
