“Bye Vic. Have fun honey,” his mom said as he moved to get out of the car. “Bye mom,” he said quietly and she watched him in worry as he shut the car door, a bag slung over his shoulder. He made his way up the walk and knocked on the front door of a normal sized house.

A man answered and smiled widely. “Victor! How are you?” he asked, letting Vic in and giving a faint wave to Vic’s mom to let her know he had everything from here before shutting the door.

“Hi dad,” Vic said silently. His mom had called his dad to warn him that Vic had come home depressed but refused to talk about, only saying he wanted to stay with his dad for a little.

Vic’s father, Paul Bailey, sighed and smiled lightly at his son. “Your brothers are in their room. Why don’t you go say hi to them while I start dinner, okay?” he said, moving to fridge and pulling out a beer. He opened it and took a swallow. “Do you want a drink?”

Vic shook his head and moved away without another word to his father. He went to his brothers’ room and knocked lightly on the door.

“Come in!” they called at the same time. Paul had warned the two of them that Vic was coming, but to be careful with him because something had depressed him. The two brothers were determined to cheer Vic up by tonight.

Vic opened the door and stepped in and they grinned at him widely. “Icky Vicky!” they cried at the same time and he gave a small wave before dropping his bag on the ground. Not even a slight smile appeared on his face, and they realized just how disturbed and upset their brother was.

“Vic, what’s wrong?” one of the brothers asked, moving towards Vic. Vic glanced at him briefly. “Your hair got longer, Syd,” he said quietly. Sydney Bailey twirled a piece of hair around his finger and nodded. “Yea, a little bit.” “A lot a bit, Syd,” the other brother said, moving to stand next to Syd.

“Shut up Tad. That doesn’t even make sense!” Syd whined, shoving Tadder Bailey away from himself. “Your face doesn’t make sense!” Tad cried and shoved Syd. “We have the same face you fucking retard!” Syd cried and shoved Tad again.

As the two began to argue, Vic silently sat down on the floor and pulled his knees up to his chest, feeling like crying. He just wanted to crawl in a hole and cry until he was dead. He had never felt so much pain in his life, and it was terrible because it was in his chest. There was nothing he could do to ease this pain.

“Vic?” Syd and Tad asked at the same time, instantly stopping their fighting. “She cheated on me,” Vic mumbled. “What?” they asked and sat next to him.

“My girlfriend. I saw her kissing another guy yesterday. Willingly kissing him. Our 1 year was in two weeks,” he whispered miserably before feeling a tear crawl down his face. “I loved her.”

Syd and Tad both moved to hug their brother at the same time and the three hit their heads together. “Ah! Shit! We never could get that right,” Tad whined, rubbing his head. Syd laughed and Vic’s lips twitched, though a smile didn’t manage to break through.

“Did you dump her?” Syd asked and Vic shook his head. “No. I was too hurt,” he mumbled. “I’ll do it next time I see her. Doing it over text is for pussy ass bitches.”

“Vic…don’t break up with her,” Tad said suddenly. “What?” Vic and Syd asked in confusion. “Why wouldn’t I break up with her? I SAW her cheating on me, Tadder,” he said and unconsciously rubbed his chest as it flared in pain at those words.

“I know! But you could get serious revenge on her!” Tad said, growing excited at his own thoughts. “How?” Vic asked miserably. “How could I get revenge on her? I wouldn’t be able to do it.”

Tad thumped him in the back of the head. It surprised Vic so much, he jumped. “The hell was that for?” he asked angrily, rubbing where Tad had hit him and glaring.

“Vic! Use your head, bro! We’re identical triplets for Christ’s sake! Do you know how rare identical triplets are? We could use this to our advantage!” he said and smiled proudly at this idea as Vic and Syd let it sink in.

“I don’t know Tad. We don’t exactly look identical,” Vic pointed out, glancing at his two brothers. Vic had short hair, Tad had medium length hair, and Syd’s hair touched his shoulders.

“A haircut will fix everything. We basically sound the same. Listen Icky Vicky, we could really fuck with this chick’s head just by acting like ourselves!” Tad said in excitement. “And mom and dad wouldn’t even have to know we switched places! Does this chick know about us?”

Vic thought back and shook his head. “No…it never really came up in conversation. Wow. That’s actually really weird. I usually talk about the fact that I’m a triplet.”

“Then this will work out perfectly Vic! We’ll fuck with her head, and then you can dump her cheating ass!” Tad cried eagerly. He wanted to crush anyone that would dare make his brother cry. “Tad’s right, Vic. This could actually work. We just get haircuts, and we’re golden man,” Syd said slowly, also wanting to destroy anyone that would ever hurt his brother.

“Okay,” Vic said, a bit reluctantly. “I don’t think it’s going to work, but we can give it a shot, I guess.” And Syd and Tad grinned and hugged their brother, for once not bashing their heads together.
