Scary Riddle - The Deserted House

I was talking with a friend when one of us suggested we go try to take pictures of ghosts since we hadn’t done so in a while. A brutal murder occurred on a nearby mountain road, and the house was still standing. We decided to go there in the middle of the night.
We went in through the front door and checked out the living room, bathroom, kitchen, and father’s room and then went upstairs and looked through the kid’s room, the balcony, and the mother’s room. We then went back downstairs. We then took pictures of ourselves, one at a time, in front of the house. We took them right after each other and then went back home.
Today we developed the photos and were shocked.
There was nothing.
Of course we were in the pictures. But nothing ghostly showed up.
“That’s strange, isn’t it?”
“Maybe they already found peace?”
“That must be it. I guess we can’t do psychic photography there anymore. That sucks.”
“That’s not true! I saw a house on the way there. We could check that place out next!”
“Really? It’s abandoned, too?”
“No. There were people living in it. Let’s go tonight!”
“Alright, let’s get ready now.”
This’ll be fun. I’m pretty excited since it’s been such a long time.
