Laurence's POV
"APH" I called to her. But it was too late.
"GO" Travis yelled. I ran. And I ran. And I ran. And I ran as fast as I could. I found her. She was at a lake. Kneeling, staring at her reflection.
"Aphmau" I said.
"Get away. I'm just gonna hurt you to. I hurt everyone" she said trying to hold back tears.
"Aph, no you do-" I said but was cut off.
"Yes I do. I put the only person I love in harms way. Everyone else as well. I just killed someone. And, I couldn't even keep...... a simple promise....... to your sister........ I promised her........ I promised her that...... that...... that...... that I would pr...... protect her. And. I. Failed. Horribly" she said in tears looking down.
"Those events weren't your fault. You didn't put me in harms way. I put myself In harms way to protect you. Wanna know why I did that" I said. She looked up at me. Staring me in the eyes. "Because I told you something, and I sure meant it. I told you I love you. Everyone else did the same because they care about you. And you killing Hyria, you had no other choice. If she lived on, she would've killed everyone. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. You, Katelyn, Garroth, Dante, Nicole, Travis, Donna, the kids and adults in the orphanage" I said finishing off.
"You" she said simply.
"And my sister" I paused getting chocked up. "That was not your fault either. If she hadn't been so stupid to run in-" something grabbed my hand. I looked at her. She pulled me into a hug. And we jus stayed there. In a hug. For a long time.
