Demented Love

Chapter 3

I heard the knock on my dorm door. Oh great, this was just jolly good news! Heh get it, jolly for christmas, and I'm a christmas elf. I silently laughed to myself. I am such a dork. I suddenly stopped laughing. I'm in a predicament, stop laughing! I slowly opened the door and found Matt standing there. He turned my way and started bursting out laughing!

"Oh my god! You look-," he cleared his throat. "I mean you look great!" He finished. I glared at him. I know we just met but he needs to learn to be nice.

"I have nothing to wear!" I shouted as I grabbed my phone and him and I headed out to the University's diner. We decided we would eat and then study together for our pre-test for biology.

We walked in silence to the diner. This was the worst day of my entire life!

But that all changed when Matt was a gentleman and bought me a whole meal at the diner. When they brought my pancakes out I literally thought I was going to eat them right out of the waitresses hands.

Matt tried to steal a pancake but I slapped his hand hard.

"My pancakes!" I snapped at him with a smile.

"Oh stop being selfish," he laughed. I didn't get it until he explained it to me. When he did, we both started bursting out laughing making the people in the diner stare at us, but who cares! We were teens having fun! Well more like adults since we were 18 now.

After we ate we payed the bill, talked a little about school and then started walking home. Ice covered the ground since winter came really early this year. It already started to snow in September! Of course being the klutz I am, I slipped on the ice almost experiencing death. If it weren't for Matt, I would have been bleeding on the ground, and dead. He caught me and at that moment our eyes locked. But only for a split second before he helped me back on my feet stably.

"Thanks," I said.

He blushed, I blushed, we all blushed. Yea, typical high school behavior, we were living the moment.

Right before we made it to our dorm, Matt slipped on a patch of ice and I wasn't there to catch him. It was my turn to laugh! My face flushed red from laughing hard and I saw the smile spread across Matts face.

Yup.... We're totally demented.
