~Megan's POV~
I woke up late in the morning since we had no classes for the first week of school after the introduction meeting yesterday. I rolled around a lot and then finally got up. I grabbed some clothes and ate some food. I walked through the courtyard wondering what to do. Off in the distance, I saw Matt walking towards me. He smiled and waved and I waved back. But he seemed to be looking behind me. I turned around to find a smiling girl waving to MY Matt. Matt ran past me and hugged the girl tightly. Tears welled up in my eyes. How could he do this to me? I slowed my breathing ad thought that this was all a misunderstanding. That was just Matt's old friend or cousin. I started to walk back to my dorm when Matt waved me over.
"Hey, meet Nikki," he smiled.
"Nice to meet you," I smiled at the girl. The girl was gorgeous with blonde hair gliding down her shoulders. Her blue eyes glistened as my eyes scanned her face. My eyes slid down her face until they reached her nose and I almost screamed. Her nose was crooked beyond repair. It made her look like a witch that had repeatedly broken her nose over and over again. She was hideous and I took a step back afraid to catch her terrible looks.
"You too," she replied with a wide grin. She kept stealing glances at Matt and it was making me even more uneasy.
"Nikki is a really great friend of mine," Matt added and I breathed a sigh of relief, "and my ex-girlfriend," he bit his lip. My tension rebuilt even greater this time and my worries flooded back.
"Yeah, but we were family friends before and so it was really easy to become friends again after. It was better when we were friends anyway," Nikki stated. I smiled a fake smile.
"Yeah, I get that. I have to go though so I'll catch up with you guys later," I said slightly disappointed that they would be spending time together.
"Ok, bye," Matt said already turning to leave. My heart dropped and I turned to leave. I had slopped my shoulders the entire way back to the dorm. I spent the entire night inside watching movies and playing games. By the end of the night I was dying of boredom. A knock on the door jolted me out Of my boredom and I walked to the door. I opened the door and Matt bolted into the room. He was pacing back and forth freaking out. His worried expression frightened me and I grabbed his arm.
He turned to me and said, "Something very bad has happened and I don't know if I can fix it this time," he stuttered. My thoughts were scattered and for once all of my doubts of Nikki faded.
