I thanked Matt for paying for my lunch before I shut my dorm door. I looked around my silent room. Juju was never here, she was probably partying somewhere like usual. I opened my Mac and it quickly booted up. I clicked the safari icon and went to google.
I searched the word ivory, the word Matt had asked himself.
I squinted at the picture of the long purple flower. I have never seen a flower like this before. I scrolled down the page finding paragraphs full of information.
Ivory is a special flower, said to be used to protect one against werewolves, vampires, and even ghosts as in evil spirits. The flower has the affect on the super natural creatures as it would be a coughing fit to a human.
I gasped at the words. No this was not possible. It was just a coincidence that Matt started coughing. But what made him cough all of a sudden? I scanned the rest of the paragraph.
Ivory could be used and turned into a light white colored thread. The ivory thread is used to make bracelets made with other material. Super natural believers tend to wear them to protect them selves form any werewolf, vampire, ghost, or hybrid.
I looked at the bracelet on the screen and then almost fainted. I looked at my wrist and then the screen again. I looked back and forth for a while. It finally took me a few minutes to register that the bracelet that girl gave me looks exactly like the bracelet showed on the screen. This girl had some explaining to do if I ever found her. I sat back and closed my eyes. What the heck was happening in my life?
I grabbed my phone off the desk and laid down on my bed. I scanned Instagram and then went to the web on my phone. I know it is stupid but I searched girl with red hair and green eyes. Surprisingly a lot of stories and pictures showed up. Before I totally gave up, I saw the picture of her. Her red hair with the shiny glow, and her same bright green eyes. The curls of hair came down below her breasts. She was really pretty, now that I really look at her. She was online for winning an award for the annual spelling bee at the age of 17....in 1981! What the hell! How old is she? She looked so young, maybe the same age as me or a little older. But it turns out she is almost 40 years old? That just doesn't sound right?? She seemed so young. This is all wrong, maybe this girl is just some look alike. In the back of my mind I still knew something was wrong.
Later when I woke up from a little nap I had, I looked at my messages. I saw one from Matt. He wrote:
*Hey. What's up?
That was half an hour ago. I quickly texted him back.
*Sorry. I fell asleep what are you doing?
After waiting a minute I texted him again.
*Also, have you seen this girl before. I need to know for a friend.
I attached the screenshot I took offline of the girl. After a while I got no response. I guess Matt is busy.
•Matt•
Oh crap! How was this possible! The only girl I didn't want Megan to know and now Megan is asking me about her. I got another text from Megan.
*Look at the date she won the spelling bee! How is that possible? She looks so young now. Well..comparing from my friend.
Dang it! How could I explain something like this?
*Umm... Maybe it's not the same girl. Maybe a daughter or a sister. Whatever. Why does it matter.
She responded with,
*Yea I guess. I gotta go. See ya later.
I put my phone down with a frown. I was the only one who knew the truth about Avery...
