After I raced Niall, and won, we all decided to just sit out front and enjoy the weather. It was such a beautiful day, which was rare because it almost always rained on my birthday. We were playing a round of celebrity fuck, marry, kill when Zayn said, "Okay, Diana. Me, Niall and Harry. Fuck, marry and kill."

"Mate, really?" Louis asked, clearly annoyed.

"What I can't say you, she might chose you for fuck and marry and then that's no fun." Zayn defended. "Plus, it's just a game."

"I still think it's a stupid set of people though." Louis pouted.

"Uhhhh okay uhm....I guess....kill you Zayn." I started.

"Hey!" He was very offended.

"It's on behalf of Louis." I earned a laugh from everyone. "Okay uhm  I would marry I guess Harry? I don't know you seem like you'd be a real caring and amazing husband. And then I guess that means I would fuck Niall." I quickly looked over at Louis when I said that, not wanting to upset him.

"Louis it's just a game." Niall said, shaking him a bit.

"What? Oh no, I'm not upset, why would I be?" Louis tried to play nonchalant, but I knew he was lying through his teeth to us.

Thankfully, Nicole walked up to the house and yelled "Louis!!" She ran over to hug him, and he stood up and they embraced for a few moments. I felt a small twinge of jealousy at the way he was hugging her, but I didn't know why. Louis was just a friend. My best friend. That was it.

While Nicole and Louis hugged, my eyes wandered to Harry, who was sitting behind Louis. This hug was lasting a bit too long, and I guess Harry knew I was annoyed because he cleared his throat. "Oh my god I'm sorry birthday girl! Happy birthday!" She gave me a quick side hug. "I uh, brought a bag with the stuff your mom left outside and also here." She handed me a small parcel. I opened and inside was a picture frame that Nicole and I had made when we were five out of macaroni noodles. "I found this in my room a few months back and I remembered how we fought about who would get to keep it when we made it and how upset you were about me keeping it, so happy birthday girl." I opened my arms and gave her a hug.

"Thank you so much, Nicole. It means a lot more to me than you would think an old picture frame would mean."

"I just have to run to practice, but I'll come back later, yeah?" Nicole said, giving me another quick hug. I nodded.

"Yeah of course, we'll see you later on."

"We should head inside, it's starting to get a bit late." Liam said, placing an arm over my shoulder and walking me up the stairs. Everyone followed behind us.

"Yeah, I'm pretty tired, I'm gonna take a nap for a bit." When we got in the house, I basically collapsed on the couch. Louis took my shoes off and placed a blanket over me before kissing my forehead and telling me to have a good nap.

LOUIS' POV

After I tucked Diana in for her nap, I kissed her softly on the forehead. As she closed her eyes, I took a second to look at her. She was so beautiful, and when she was asleep, it was as though nothing could have, nor has ever, hurt her. I left the living room and headed into the kitchen where everyone was snacking on some of the left over food from the zoo.

I reached to grab a nacho when Harry turned to me and said,  "You're in love with Diana, aren't you?" All the boys turned to look at me. Harry already knew the answer, since I told him the other night after he walked in on me and Diana. He was just pushing me to tell the lads. I nodded my head.

"Yeah. I am."

"You need to tell her." Zayn commented, as a smile spread on his face. The other boys nodded.

"You really should, you know she loves you too, mate." Liam chipped in.

"No, she doesn't. She looks at me like a friend. Like a big brother."

"Girls don't look at their brother the way she looks at you Louis." Harry said.

"Even if she did, it would ruin our friendship. What am I gonna do? Tell her I'm in love with her and then go on the road for months and months at a time and literally never see her, and always be way to exhausted to have the time to talk to her? That would ruin literally everything. I already left her once. I can't do it again."

"So don't leave her? If you ask her to come with us, she would." Harry said.

"She would." Zayn agreed.

I just sighed. What if she didn't feel the same way about me? What if she really did just see me as an older brother? Everything would be different if I told her I loved her and she didn't feel the same way. Everything would be different if I told her I loved her and she felt the same way. No matter what, everything would be different between us, and I don't think either of us could handle if things went badly.

"You guys have any more nachos for me?" A sleepy voice said from the doorway.

"Right here, Princess." Liam said as he handed her the nacho bowl as he and the other boys walked out of the room.

"Thanks." She smiled at him. her smile was so precious.

"Tell her." Harry whispered as he walked past me.

When everyone left, I looked at Diana and smiled. "Wanna sit?" I asked as I pulled out a chair for her. She nodded and walked over to the table.

"How was your nap?"

"It was good, I guess. I'm just a little hungry, that's all." Her voice sounded off.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I don't know, you tell me." She heard the entire conversation.
