DIANA'S POV

I woke up pretty quickly after my nap, because I was still hungry. I walked over to the kitchen, still a bit groggy when I heard the boys talking. I stopped at the door. "Even if she did, it would ruin our friendship. What am I gonna do? Tell her I'm in love with her and then go on the road for months and months at a time and literally never see her, and always be way to exhausted to have the time to talk to her? That would ruin literally everything. I already left her once. I can't do it again."

"So don't leave her? If you ask her to come with us, she would." Harry said.

"She would." Zayn agreed.

I definitely would. To be with Louis I would go anywhere. He was the most important person in my life, and I definitely didn't think of him as a brother, at least not anymore. I had always had a crush on Louis, but when he came back home this year, he was a different person, in a good way. He was still my Louis, but something about him was different, and something between us was different. A fire was lit way before Saturday night, I just thought I was the only one who felt it. There was such a long silence in the kitchen that I decided this was a good time to walk in without it looking like I was eavesdropping.

"You guys have any more nachos for me?" I said in the sleepiest voice I could muster.

"Right here, Princess." Liam said while handing me the nacho bowl as he and the other boys walked out of the room.

"Thanks."  I said with a small smile.

Harry stopped to whisper something to Louis before giving me a smile and following the other boys out into the living room. I heard the TV turn on behind me and noticed Louis looking at me.

"Wanna sit?" He asked as he pulled out a chair for me. I nodded and walked over to the table.

"How was your nap?"

"It was good, I guess. I'm just a little hungry, that's all." I didn't want to let on that I heard their conversation, but it was hard to pretend. If he loved me why didn't he just say it?

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I don't know, you tell me."

"You heard, didn't you?"

"Only if you wanted me to. If not, I heard nothing."

"Diana I just-"

"No. You don't get to NOT tell me that you love me. You don't get to decide what's the best thing to do for me. I get to decide that. I get to decide if dating you would ruin our friendship or if you leaving would ruin me. You don't get to decide that for me." I couldn't control the anger I had. Why couldn't he see that I loved him? Why couldn't he see that he was everything I had ever wanted?

"I'm sorry." Louis said meekly. "I just love you too much to hurt you."

"I-"

"Nicole is here!" Liam called from the living room.

"This isn't over." I got up and walked into the living room.

Nicole was sitting on the couch next to Harry. Harry was trying to talk to her and get to know her, but I could tell she really wasn't interested. "So when are we gonna have cake and the obligatory first legal drink?" I asked as I sat down on the arm of the couch.

"Right now!" Nicole pulled a bottle of Tequila out of her bag and handed Liam handed me a shot glass. I filled my cup and took the shot.

The room filled with cheers and claps as I took my very first legal drink.
