Chapter Three- New School. New Life.

The letter was on the floor and I eyed it for a few minutes before I carefully went to pick it up. It was a normal sized envelope with a gold seal on it.

Fancy. I thought.  On the front of the envelope was a label with ‘Brittany Piper Jameson. 5643 Crownill Street, New York City, New York’ On it.

I opened the envelope and pulled out a paper from inside.

This letter is for: Brittany Piper Jameson

“Congratulations.” Anne said, and for the first time, I noticed her in my room. Her face was filled with kindness and love and I felt better seeing her.

“Brennan’s mad at me.” I told her.

“I know,” She said, “and he’ll get over it. I’m so happy for you.”

“I don’t want him mad at me.”

“He’ll forgive you. No matter how much he hates the school and the people going to it, he could never hate you. He only wants what’s best for you.”

“I know…”

“Are you going to take it? The scholarship, I mean.” Anne asked.

“Well, I have to. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I can’t let it go.  But I need to go talk to Brennan first. I can’t have him mad at me.”

“Go, my dear.” She said and I left her in my room.

“Can I come in?” I asked as I opened Bren’s door.

“Do whatever. Your highness.” He snapped

“Okay. That’s not fair.” I uttered “You don’t have to snap at me.”
